Had a good day at the gym today- walked about five miles and spent some time on this machine that is like a stationary bike but for your arms- really good for my shoulders. On the way home I stopped at Los Palmas Mexican grocery and picked up some tortillas and since it was three and I had not eaten, I got this beautiful burrito and coke for nine bucks:

After that, I swung by the orchard and picked up some apples for mom, and got some sweet tangoes which are in early this year- according the the farmers who run the orchard, everything is in three weeks early, which was true here, too. All my apples were done by the second week of August. I had so many at once I dehydrated half of them.
At any rate, I am primed and ready for the debate. Just took an edible, have a half a burrito left from lunch, and a sweet tango and sweet maia ready to snack on during the debate.

Enjoy, peeps! Harris will be great. I’ll see y’all on the flip side.

Looks like a Mexican coke. Yum.

T minus one hour and counting.
Yeah, I’ll watch. Not really sure why, but I’ll watch.

“…this machine that is like a stationary bike but for your arms- really good for my shoulders.”
Love that machine. I do that first thing, every gym session, before I work on the weights. it loosens up all the joints and gets the arm muscles moving again.
Young people don’t understand about having to loosen up your arms to avoid pulling muscles and tendons. Nobody under 70 uses it, and the kids look at us like we’re weird. I mean, you understand it, even though you’re not that old, but only because you have artificially pre-aged your joints through abuse.

Kristen Welker just said
thatsomething like having the mics muted gives Trump more time to to stay on topic and actually make his point. Wow! I guess she’s fallen for his “weave” dialect.ETA To Fix.

An edible does sound like the way to get through this debate.

Okay, I was shocked to learn that a tango is a radiation-mutated mandarin. But I find it just too hard to believe that they’re being grown in West Virginia, global warming or no.

I had to search to find that the SweeTango is another apple cultivar like the MAIA. Two apples a day keeps the Reaper away?

@Elizabelle:
Are we not doing phrasing anymore?!

@Steve in the ATL:
Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

I was just watching the live feed of Philadelphia WPVI 6 Action News. Local TV here is very excited of all this happening in the home town. Good time to rob a bank, no one is covering anything else.

Don’t think one edible would get me through this thing.

@KrackenJack: D’oh! Wasn’t I misled? (See comment #7.)
Elizabelle
@Ned F: Thank you for reminding me of WPVI. Will watch debate there. No cable.
Sad to look in and see Martha Raddatz and Jonathan Karl (?) discussing the “disastrous” Afghanistan withdrawal. What whores. Reminds me why I don’t watch them. They’re so dishonest.
Turned them right off.

What else are immigrants good for, besides food?
OT: Hiphop + Bharatnatyam, match made in heaven?

Love it when the burrito is put on the grill to crisp up. Seems rare to find around me–or I don’t go to enough mexican groceries, etc. Lord knows we have many many of them. The chain Baja Fresh near us used to do the grill thing, but that outpost left us many years ago.

I have chardonnay and cheese doodles. I’m ready for the debate.

I went out and picked up trash for 40 minutes around my neighborhood. Most useful thing I could do today
