    Since this is an open thread, maybe somebody has info on this.  I keep getting texts asking me who I am voting for.  If I put the number into google, there is a suggestion it is spam.  The number is 928-599-1903 — at least for the most recent one.  I have just clicked the button to tell T-Mobile to delete and treat as spam, but I am curious if it might be legit.  I’m in Pennsylvania.

    I just got back from the Charlotte Rally. A huge crowd with energy and enthusiasm, took us two hours to get into the Coliseum. Kamela was great. She talked about voting up and down the ballot, and had the North Carolina Democratic candidates for Governor, Attorney General, and our current Governor, Roy Cooper. It was really well done.

She was, to this incredibly biased observer, near perfect in her execution of the execution of Trump’s ego. Harris fucked him up good.

I’m not sure if there will be much good data, but maybe some localities with a lot of these folks will show some of them breaking for Harris. I tend to stereotype them as a plus-Republican demographic group; formerly, the “Reagan Democrats.”

     I ran the numbers. Trump won Florida by 371,686 votes in 2020. That is perilously close to the 300,000 number. Did no one do their homework before spouting this nonsense?

    @Josie: Florida, I think at this point is going to hinge on turnout of our coalitions and sit outs from the MAGA groups.  I also believe that what needs to be done in Florida is a continuation of the subtle push to demoralize the MAGA folks and not so subtle pushes to bring in groups on the margins that we can reach. Peeling off a percent here and there can significantly improve things.

More to avoid offending the churchgoers, I figure the veterans can handle that language (and the Marine and Army veterans may give me some guidance about how to curse even more effectively). I’m supposed to be the mild-mannered IP attorney and my sibling is supposed to be the jackbooted federal thug, after all.
