Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

These are not very smart people, and things got out of hand.

I am pretty sure these ‘journalists’ were not always such a bootlicking sycophants.

Also, are you sure you want people to rate your comments?

Stay strong, because they are weak.

Fear or fury? The choice is ours.

They don’t have outfits that big. nor codpieces that small.

When they say they are pro-life, they do not mean yours.

There are a lot more evil idiots than evil geniuses.

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

Hey Washington Post, “Democracy Dies in Darkness” was supposed to be a warning, not a mission statement.

Humiliatingly small and eclipsed by the derision of millions.

Washington Post Catch and Kill, not noticeably better than the Enquirer’s.

Today’s gop: why go just far enough when too far is right there?

Roe is not about choice. It is about freedom.

“In the future, this lab will be a museum. do not touch it.”

Jack Smith: “Why did you start campaigning in the middle of my investigation?!”

You don’t get rid of your umbrella while it’s still raining.

The most dangerous place for a black man in America is in a white man’s imagination.

If you can’t control your emotions, someone else will.

Museums are not America’s attic for its racist shit.

Republicans don’t lie to be believed, they lie to be repeated.

Is it negotiation when the other party actually wants to shoot the hostage?

Stamping your little feets and demanding that they see how important you are? Not working anymore.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

I’m glad I bought a ticket and that we raised so much money for a really good cause. This place is the best!

Over at LG&M, commenter littlegreen said:

A key action item is to get the 400K registered Haitian voters in Florida to vote for Harris and against Rick Scott.

How can we help this happen? Is giving money to Debbie Mucarsel-Powell the best way?

Does anybody have any ideas on this?  I wonder how they voted last time around, too.

We are actually giving away some quilts, because we have too many of them, but when I saw this one, I was so taken by it that I made sure my 4D contribution went through the quilt raffle.  Had I won, I would be in trouble with my wife, since I was the one who insisted in downsizing…

Congratulations Memory Pallas.  Is your nym a clever take on an ancient mnemonic system, among other things?  I love it!

    @danielx:

Now that’s a smart cat. Also a political one but still – a smart cat.

I would suggest to the cat’s owner that if djt ever shows up to your front door, especially if he’s asking for money, you know cup out and all that, that you make sure the cat is somewhere they can’t get to that open door. He is after all a past president……. Damn that is a very hard sentence to write, and even harder to actually think that this country somehow elected him to run the place, when even cats hate him.
