The Most Important 4-Minute Video You May Ever Watch

I’m sitting on my screened-in porch this morning while it’s still cool enough to enjoy it, and I just watched this short animated video about Project 2025.  It’s so good.  I hope you’ll take the time to watch it.  This is important, even if you hate twitter.  It’s that good.

My porch was built by just one person.  So amazing.  Anyway, one day I sent him home with some of my home-made popsicles.  He told me the next day that his 5-year-old son had run through the house with his popsicle,  yelling “so good! so good! so good!” over and over.  Possibly the best compliment I’ve ever had from a little one!

Okay, maybe tied with when I made tacos for our then 7-year old Cody and 3 of his friends, and his best friend Tony looked up at me and said “These are even better than my Mom’s!” which I took as high praise indeed.

Anyway, that’s how good this is.  Watch it and send it to everyone you know.

    That is good. I particularly liked the long thing about eliminating all those words from every regulation and law when it said “that’s an actual quote”. This is a good way to start impressing on people how radical this document is. Diane Rehm’s podcast did a good show about it in July.

    I saw it on Twitter this morning also and I immediately reposted it. It’s somewhat surprising how awareness of the Project 2025 monstrosity has gotten through to the public. And how many are repelled by it. It’s proving to be a great way of hammering the GOP on policy.
    I suspect that there will always remain a segment of the electorate in denial and disbelief that they actually said it and truly intend to enact it.

    How ironic that a hit tune in 1980 was “In the Year 2525”   – yeah, it was a really bad pop song then, but its arc coincides at the front end with the ultimate precursor (Reagan Administration) of the potential 2025 back end thereof (a 2nd Trump Administration).

The popular image of her was some unladylike harridan and she didn’t want to lean into that too far, but it meant there were counterattacks she just didn’t do.

    Harris just seems free from all that though.

    @mrmoshpotato: The worst was H.R. McMaster recently who comes out with a whole book detailing all the ways in which Trump’s term was a complete dumpster fire. Then he goes on 60 Minutes and when asked if he would still vote for Trump, says “[he’s] not there to tell anyone how to vote.”

    Is there a word for something lower and slimier and more spineless than slug slime? Because McMaster is that.
