    Iowa going blue feels like maybe a bellwether. Now Texas going blue, that would be more of a harbinger. 2016 PTSD has me hesitant to even think the optimistic 9-letter “L-word”, but it would make me very happy to wake up Wednesday morning to discussions of electoral avalanches.

    I tuned up my little harp today, and realized that I have completely forgotten how to read music after 30 years not playing.

    I used to be able to sight read (look at a music score and know how it sounds played.) Now I don’t even know what note to play to get which sound.

    Will probably only take a week to figure out, months to get mildly proficient.

    But anyway, playing music is nothing like riding a bicycle. You do forget almost everything.

    @Frankensteinbeck: I’ve been talking about that for years, but from the perspective of: Trump can’t flee to Russia. Because he is not actually a free agent able to do so. He’s already 100% Russia’s guy and is doing their job, up to and including sabotaging the COVID response to mass-kill Americans while sending vaccine equipment to Putin, and now that he is failing that becomes his legacy.

    He can’t flee to Russia BECAUSE he is already their guy. The only way he could possibly do that is if there was a prospect of Putin unmasking him, both of them saying ‘ha ha, Trump was working for Putin all along!” and them just gloating, over all they’d done to hurt America. That’s the ONLY way he’d be welcomed into Russia and kept safe.

    And it ain’t happening, even with Putin declining as badly as Trump is, because it would be suicidal of them to do that. The outrage would be huge and all their work undermining us would be for naught.

    I’d bet a lot that Trump is Putin’s guy, but I’d bet a lot more, that Trump will never flee to Russia as a safe haven. That would be insane, but it would also undermine Russia way too much, not happening.
