Just got a call from Four Directions.

Time is short, so I’m including the text of the follow-up email messages.

NEVADA

Given the photo finish in Nevada, we added staff and drivers overnight.

We can continue to add drivers/canvassers/callers on the following reservations:

Duck Valley Indian Reservation
Fallon Paiute Reservation
Pyramid Lake Paiute Indian Reservation
Walker River Paiute Indian Reservation

Urban native voters in Las Vegas and Reno.

Not fighting snow but equally fighting darkness as in Montana. Nevada polls close at 7 pm pacific/10 pm eastern.

MONTANA

Polls do not close until 8 pm mountain [10 pm eastern].

There is only one satellite office open on a Montana Indian reservation – the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.

We are battling snow and by 5:30 pm mountain {2.5 hours before polls close) – it will be dark.

And the race is close[49-45 Tester over Sheehy:

All of a sudden, Montana — and Senate control — is slipping away from Republicans

We could deploy easily $10k in Montana to combat the snow and darkness.

We can deploy funds as late as 8 pm eastern for last 2 hour shift, adding drivers and callers.

    Suffering fatigue from soo much giving.  I’ve not a ton of extra but gave 15.  Hope it helps.  I’ve given more this year than ever before but feel fundamentally upset that we have to do this at all.  Just like healthcare, this should be paid for by taxes with every (legit) candidate getting the same amount of media time/space & money and not have to have regular Joes pay for it and compete against billionaires.  (No one is honestly worth a billion dollars of productivity – if someone has that much it’s gotten illegally and immorally.)

    I didn’t work the polls this year for the Dems but have in every previous year for over a decade.  Yet I feel guilty now since the local group said they needed someone this morning from 7 to 9.  Does everything fall apart when you try to take time off?

    Still, I give and hope a medical emergency doesn’t happen.

I don’t think she will remember for very long, but it was nice to see her involved and interested if even for only a few minutes.  She was very cheerful while watching the donation process.  It’s so nice to see there are still some glimmers of what she used to be.     Just out of curiosity because I don’t know how these work — how do the funds get transferred right away? I helped a friend with a Go Fund Me a few years back and I think it took a few days for the money to be sent to her account. Does the thermometer thing work differently?

    Pretty much anytime one donates to 4 Directions, one feels as if every penny returns a vote.

    But hiring drivers to take people to the polls in the snow and the dark feels like a guaranteed voter increase.

I wanted to thank you all for your kind donations for getting out the Native Vote. I want you to know we are putting your donations to good use, Although we are overseeing, the Walker River, Pyrimad Lake, Las Vegas urban in Nevada we have our daughter Donna on the Duck Valley reservation and although she and her vehicle went toe to toe with a Moose and the Moose won, she is running the GOTV a little banged up but doing what she does best and thats Getting Out The Vote.

    In Montana we have Moccasins on the ground our granddaughter is on Blackfeet reservation they had 1485 early votes prior to tiday, and that is not taking into account our phone banks that had individuals vote early on their own, As of today 12 pm MST, 301 voters were drovr to the polls and this again does not include voters coming in on their own. Because of your donations we were able to hire 15 more drivers today.
