Sending a virtual hug to Dobby and a big shoutout to beth for all her work on the calendar design.

What a sweet pic of Dobby!

So soulful.

I haven’t even checked yet this year to see how many calendars have been purchased. I hope you guys are buying them. :-)

Many thanks to @WaterGirl and beth for getting that version of the calendar ready. Dobby’s our boy, and my wife and I have been waiting for this calendar to come out. Dobby has verified that his adopted big sister Freya is among the pages of that same version, for which he is grateful cause he needs his pack close by.

@1by0: Dobby looks like such a sweet guy. Hopefully Freya isn’t jealous that Dobby gets the limelight.

Dobby looks like our last dog, Roxie. She was a sweetie.

@WaterGirl: I bought a calendar, and Cafe Press says it’s on the way.
Dobby is adorable.
WaterGirl
@Dorothy A. Winsor: I don’t picture you guys with a dog. How long has it been?
Dorothy A. Winsor
@WaterGirl: Maybe 15 years? We usually had a dog, but we wanted to travel. And then as we got older, it seemed unfair. When a person loses a dog, that’s sad. But when a dog loses its person, that’s tragic.

I just checked, the calendar is supposed to arrive on Saturday. Thank you for putting this together!
Miss Bianca
I just tried to order one, but I don’t think the order went through…:(

@Dorothy A. Winsor:
Sounds like you made the right call, so many don’t.

@Miss Bianca: I had to try three different browsers before it worked. For me, Safari worked.

@zhena gogolia:
Worked fine for me on Chrome, also.

I am glad to see this finally expressed explicitly:

“The Constitutioners knew how to provide robust immunity when they wanted to. Not like the bullshit SCOTUS made up for Trump. They provided big, wide, copious immunity for all the stuff Cheney was involved with, in addition to the claims themselves being total bullshit. (also never self-womp.)
“The speech or debate clause is very broad,” Mr. Rozenshtein said, “and would be a substantial, if not insurmountable, obstacle to any investigation into Liz Cheney for her actions as part of the committee.”
The Founders were not senile, were not absent-minded, were not lackadaisical. When they wanted to provide immunity to Federal officers, they knew exactly how to do it, and did it explicitly in Article 1’s “speech and debate” clause *absolutely* protecting statements made on the floor of Congress. That they very pointedly did not do so for the President or the Justices of the Supreme Court all by itself tells you they did not mean to do so.
Trump v. US is a complete abomination, that almost all by itself ended meaningful Constitutional government.

@Miss Bianca:
zhena had issues with ordering, I think, but she tried another browser and it worked.edit: never mind!
Miss Bianca
@zhena gogolia: good to know, ty!
Ruckus
I’ve tried 3 times to order a calendar.
Having zero% luck.
Tried to call, haven’t gotten through. Trying one more time tomorrow.
Never had any problems prior to this year.
Oh well, such is often my luck. Someone has to be the fall guy……

@Ruckus: Have you tried a different browser?
