We worked hard for North Carolina last year, and now of course the Rs want to steal votes in order to steal the NC State Supreme Court. North Carolina is not taking the sitting down.
What’s your favorite sign? I like the spirit in the flame / fire one, myself.
Pictures and a short write-up from AM in NC:
I just got back from a pro-democracy/Anti-Jefferson Griffin-Trying-To-Steal-A-NC-Supreme-Court-Election protest at the Capitol in Raleigh, NC.
It was inspiring to rally together with North Carolinians of all ages, races, genders, economic situations and religions to fight for our representative government and the rule of law.
Here are some signs I saw if you want to post any of them . . . I asked permission from all people I took photos of.
First two are of my sign (front and back). The rest are in situ at the protest.

GREAT signs.

The Wankpanzer sign’s a good one.
The Mein Kampf/Project 2025 is powerful but the sad thing is how many low-info/low-motivated voters will get the reference? I bet if you polled X number of people, we’d be sadly surprised at how many have probably never heard of Mein Kampf.

Tar Heel State–you make us proud! Well done. The signage is great.

What awesome signs!

Just got back from a rally/protest at the County Administration building in San Diego. About 1,000 people showed up. Good speeches, great signs, positive vibe. It was … encouraging.

Lots of good signs!
is there a word for assemblage of signs, a la exaltation of larks, murder of crows?
I like “Constitution or trump, we can’t have both” a lot!

Eta seeing reports of another plane crash, no fatalities, reminds me, appropriate and clever signs about planes and cutting FAA would be good,

Awesome, AM.

The signage does not reflect the one overarching message I think we need to pound relentlessly 24-7. It is: They are gaming the system for the benefit of Billionaire$ at your expense.
Eloon being at the helm, should make it an easy sale.

Applause to AM in NC. Wonderful signs, and some very smart and brave and committed people carrying (and making) them. Well done!

@BlueGuitarist:
I do love that one. And

Thank you for being there. I went with two friends. Great speakers, good crowd, lots of energy.

The protest in Boston apparently got a pretty substantial crowd despite the terrible weather (as I said, I wanted to go but got iced in–I spent much of the day literally chipping ice off the street in front of the mailbox).
There will be more.

My spouse and I were both at the Raleigh rally: a really good turnout of enthusiastic, non-violent citizens, hearing lots of support from the drive-bys. Best sign: “Let’s grab those pussies by the Constitution.” I’m still laughing.

Our protest in Lincoln (state capitol) was scheduled for 4PM. I had a meeting on Zoom in my office so got there 10-15 minutes late. There were maybe 100 people there at the same time early on, though total may have been more as people came and went. That was natural as it never got above Zero Fahrenheit and there was a brutal wind throughout along with falling wind whipped snow. I stayed until just after 5 at which point I started worrying about parts of my skin freezing and people were trickling away.
Good signs of all sorts. A good bit of support from passers by in cars. One possible bird.
There was also a protest earlier in Omaha that I don’t know about. It is likely to have been larger.
There were mixed messages about the timing of the Lincoln protest and it took some work to find out it was not at noon. So between the weather and the timing issues, 100 people had to be reasonably committed to show up.
I expect that as our state gets hit harder and harder by various cuts (University is a big deal in a small population state as is agriculture) opposition will grow even with (at best) timid and (at worst) bad-willed Republican officials in power.

They had rallies in Cleveland and Medina nearby. I had meant to go to work or to protest. Too much snow for the one, too cold for the others.
Instead I did neither. Stayed home and played with my new electric snow shovel. It is amazimgly easy for an old to use.
Husband went to klatch. I promised not to snow shovel while he was gone ( he worries about my heart and activity. Urrr.)
So I finally sat down and did all the finacial stuff I had put off for months. Yay me.
