Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

This isn’t Democrats spending madly. This is government catching up.

The line between political reporting and fan fiction continues to blur.

Washington Post Catch and Kill, not noticeably better than the Enquirer’s.

Republicans choose power over democracy, every day.

Peak wingnut was a lie.

We’ve had enough carrots to last a lifetime. break out the sticks.

Someone should tell Republicans that violence is the last refuge of the incompetent, or possibly the first.

A sufficient plurality of insane, greedy people can tank any democratic system ever devised, apparently.

They don’t have outfits that big. nor codpieces that small.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

One lie, alone, tears the fabric of reality.

There are more Russians standing up to Putin than Republicans.

When you’re a Republican, they let you do it.

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

There are no moderate republicans – only extremists and cowards.

We will not go quietly into the night; we will not vanish without a fight.

Teach a man to fish, and he’ll sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

The fight for our country is always worth it. ~Kamala Harris

If ‘weird’ was the finish line, they ran through the tape and kept running.

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

Sometimes the world just tells you your cat is here.

Is trump is trying to break black America over his knee? signs point to ‘yes’.

    @Miss Bianca: We surely do!

In the olden days, these photos could have ended up in an expensive coffee table book

Be sure to click on the ones you like so you can see them bigger and in higher resolution.

Lovely images, and I agree with Bianca, there are some real good shots in here. Put ’em all together like that, and the talent really shows.

Thank you kindly for these bright moments amidst all this darkness. And to the people that take and submit the images. They are appreciated more than you know.

    Love these photos!

Thanks for taking time to assemble this post. Could it remain in a sidebar? And maybe do these monthly?  (Only if others are also interested?)

@WaterGirl: Thank you, because I have never seen these photos before, there must not be a sidebar on my little iPhone screen.

And it is little, I bought the smallest model possible so it would fit in my pockets. I’m in for shock when this phone dies, I don’t think they make them this small anymore.
