We decided to do this mostly because there was an ukulele workshop component (we both play, and my longtime instructor was teaching). No pictures of that, out of desire not to invade others’ privacy (not everyone wants to be part of an acquaintance’s post!). Lots of beautiful Alaska—and Yukon!—scenery however:

That is gorgeous scenery, but what a long distance to travel for ukulele lessons. It looks like both the trip and lessons were worthwhile.

Point of clarification – is it “a ukulele” or “an ukulele”? I presume you see it written a lot more than i do so i defer to your view.
I suppose it could be pronounced oo-ke-le-le but i say yoo-

@Betty: not really, cruise was out of Seattle and we live in Tacoma! We used to go to a Hawaiian music camp, that was much further!

@Trivia Man: the traditional Hawaiian pronunciation is oo-koo-a-lee. I’ve always said “an ukulele,” but as commenter below says that may not be correct.
