I know times are tough, but if you are so inclined to toss a few bucks to a good friend of this blog, I would appreciate it.
A present:
Rhode Island in the fall, sent in by a reader. The colors mirror what we see all over West Virginia this time of year (but with more mountains!).

Ok, the McCain campaign has been reduced to waving and pointing their fingers and screaming "Socialism". Better understood as "They they be takin mah bukkit!"
Dave
Ah, but can you have those colors against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean? It is just a beautiful place to visit in the fall. Plus, they have clamcakes you would literally kill for.

My main problem with WVa are its people. Yes I’m an asshole.
But the secondary problem is weather. It doesn’t get cold enough.

And don’t forget our quahog chowda with those clamcakes! I live in Rhode Island and it is indeed so beautiful this time of year.
Octavian
… and that’s why I love living in Rhode Island. New England is great.
Octavian
ACK, where in RI are you?
ACK
Barrington. And you?
Octavian
Richmond.

I wish they would explain a little better what is going on and to whom. I’ve never read that blog, and I have no idea what’s going on.
Hard to donate under those circumstances.

I’ll be damned if that doesn’t look just like the view of the Blackstone River from my living room windows in Albion, RI. It is indeed a nice time of year here in Little Rhody.

Is RI big enough to have three towns?
Fulcanelli
@ACK: Yep that’s RI. Look’s like Scituate, near the reservoir or maybe Johnson’s pond. Cranston, here. Just an old DFH in stealth mode.
Opinion: Best clamcakes and chowda?
gbear: Is RI big enough to have three towns?
We have 39!

Ths pic was taken in Pascoag, RI. Echo Lake.

I grew up in Cranston, lived there until I was 18 and went away to college. The pic actually made me a little homesick. Then I realized I now live in Santa Monica, California, and tomorrow its supposed to be 84 degrees. Awesome.
