Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

The party of Reagan has become the party of Putin.

Republicans seem to think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before.

Accountability, motherfuckers.

Radicalized white males who support Trump are pitching a tent in the abyss.

President Musk and Trump are both poorly raised, coddled 8 year old boys.

There is no right way to do the wrong thing.

JFC, are there no editors left at that goddamn rag?

Be a wild strawberry.

Republicans choose power over democracy, every day.

Fight for a just cause, love your fellow man, live a good life.

Republicans firmly believe having an abortion is a very personal, very private decision between a woman and J.D. Vance.

The press swings at every pitch, we don’t have to.

You’re just a puppy masquerading as an old coot.

Some judge needs to shut this circus down soon.

We will not go back.

Jack Smith: “Why did you start campaigning in the middle of my investigation?!”

Republicans got rid of McCarthy. Democrats chose not to save him.

Their freedom requires your slavery.

These are not very smart people, and things got out of hand.

Following reporting rules is only for the little people, apparently.

Shut up, hissy kitty!

Jack be nimble, jack be quick, hurry up and indict this prick.

Giving in to doom is how we fail to fight for ourselves & one another.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

Idiots With Forums

There may be a reason that the American Prospect is losing money- the people working there are morons. The Tapped crew is your average, run-of-the-mill braying mule- that is a typical modern Democrat. Devoid of ideas, bereft of any moral backbone, concerned only with winning, and consumed by “Gotcha!” politics. Excellent example is Tapped Quoting Bob Woodwarrd’s new book:

Woodward Quote: The president is shown to be preoccupied by public perceptions of the war, looking at polling data from Rove, now his senior adviser, even after pretending to have no interest.

Tapped Response: We also thought Bush led “based upon principle and not polls and focus groups.” So much for that.

Let’s set aside the fact that they are just taking Woodward’s quotes as if they were gospel (if it is in print, why, Golly, it must be true!). But do you notice how these morons get it wrong, yet again?

Guys- It is ok to have a principled position and to examine the polls and try to figure out how to lead the public to support and embrace your position. That is what Bush is doing. What Clinton did was merely look at the polls and do whatever the hell the most popular thing was. There is a difference.

And Democrats wonder why no one takes them seriously.

An Illustration of Why We Are Right

I don’t know how to put screenshots up right now, or I would, but this image of the Drudge Report is really telling. Across the top of the screen is this flash warning:

**URGENT** FBI issued confidential terror alert Thursday evening warning taped message from bin Laden, recent overseas strikes by al-Qaida raised threat of ‘spectacular attacks’ in USA… Developing… NYT reporting: ‘In selecting its next targets,’ the FBI alert said, ‘sources suggest al-Qaida may favor spectacular attacks that meet several criteria: high symbolic value, mass casualties, severe damage to the U.S. economy, and maximum psychological trauma. The highest priority targets remain within the aviation, petroleum, and nuclear sectors as well as significant national landmarks’…

In other words, more Islamofascists want to destroy more of our culture. Below that, we see the links to what the Western world is focussed on:

HEART OP ON UNBORN CHILD HAILED A SUCCESS…

They burn their libraries, hide and subjugate their women, living in a technological sinkhole. Their only use for technology is to destroy, maim, and ruin. Their only use for technology is death and destruction, including plans to blow themselves up just to take a few innocents with them. We are mastering micro-surgery on unborns, they are stoning mothers.

You tell me who is right, and who is wrong.

Oh, Really? PASADENA, California –

Oh, Really?

PASADENA, California – Former United Nations weapons inspector Scott Ritter says the U.N. resolution on disarming Iraq of weapons of mass destruction makes war inevitable.

He said the U.N. resolution carries a hidden trigger allowing Bush to attack after the Dec. 8 deadline for a weapons declaration from Iraq, and noted that there will be four U.S. aircraft carriers in the region in December.

When questioned about the veracity of his claims, and whether his opinion might change about the timing of the attack, Ritter responded:

“Well. It might be January. Or March. Maybe even July. Or they might not attack at all. Or maybe it will just be the British attacking.”

After a while, Ritter then commented:

“Haven’t I been inconsistent enough over the past 10 years that no one in their right mind would listen to a damned thing I say?” Ritter then looked at the reporter quizzically and asked, “I mean seriously, other than Saddam Hussein, is there anyone less credible on this issue than me?”

O.k. He really didn’t say any of that. But I thought it when I read the story.

Image Problem, Or Just Plain Wrong?

Republicans are always bitching that they are unfairly painted as the party of big business, and that their lower tax, private business agenda actually speaks for the little people. They also complain that they are unfairly portrayed as extremists on the abortion issue. Then you read crap like this:

Legislation intended to make it harder for people to erase their debts in bankruptcy court died in the House Thursday, scuttled by a dispute over how the law would apply to fines against abortion protesters.

(two worthless paragraphs skipped)

Anti-abortion Republicans blamed Senate Democrats for forcing them to vote against the bankruptcy legislation that came out of the House-Senate conference committee. Senate Democrats had inserted language into the compromise that would ban abortion protesters from using bankruptcy to avoid paying court fines for blocking clinics if they knowingly violated the law.

(another skipped paragraph)

Banking and credit card companies have been pushing the legislation for five years, but it has stalled each year in Congress. The House-Senate compromise reached this year represented the closest the measure has ever come to passage.

So, the only reason Republicans vote against a bill that probably would have made life hell for people in already difficult financial position is an opposition to abortion. Gee- Now I am convinced you are not a wholly owned subsidiary of big business.

Idiots.

NJ Politics?

Hu Jintao, a 59-year-old insider known as brilliant and bland, will be named chief of the Communist Party today, the point man in a sweeping generational shift of the nation’s leadership that was achieved through the most orderly transition in the 53-year history of the party.

I guess there are other places in the world where primaries don’t determine who the candidates are.

And the NY Times headline is Priceless:

“China Carries Out an Orderly Shift of Its Leadership”

An orderly shift of leadership. Much more preferrable than say, those messy ELECTIONS we Americans hold. Is there really one foreign government that the NY Times likes less than our own?

The Whole Story of Wellstone’s

The Whole Story of Wellstone’s Death and the Election

An interesting read, and if you do not feel horribly for the Wellstone staffers, friends, and supporters, you simply have no heart. I never mentioned anything about Wellstone’s death (other than that disgusting pep rally), because coming from someone like me, who hated Wellstone’s political stances, it would have been unseemly and distasteful and some would have interpreted it as disingenuous. I didn’t like him in the Senate, but I would never want this to happen to him.

I hope my friends and family live forever.
