The Pulitzer Prize for drama
The Pulitzer Prize for drama was awarded to Suzan-Lori Parks for “Topdog/Underdog,” a play about the relationship of two brothers and their struggle with being African-American and male in the United States.
Yes, the trial of being male finally given the recognition it deserves. I doubt that is what the writer meant, though.
Brian Williams just let out
Brian Williams just let out the Media Trap for Bush:
“Bush has his prestige on the line now that he is sending Powell to he Mid-East,” stated Williams.
There is the trick. Bitch for months that Bush is not involved enough, then when he is involved enough to your liking, declare that anything short of the optimum outcome is a Bush failure. Charming.
I guess I might be
I guess I might be a conservative after all. How else can I explain the visceral reaction I had when I heard that the Wall Street Journal was re-designing its layout- particularly without seeing the re-design? I don’t care if it is better- it is different, damnit.
Jonah tells it like it
Jonah tells it like it is, again:
My views regarding the European political and intellectual elite have gone from mere contempt to palpable disgust.
Even the glow of the synagogues burning on soil already well fertilized with the viscera of Jews is paled by the bonfire of hypocrisy now raging in capitals across Europe. Recall last December, when France’s ambassador to England, Daniel Bernard, referred to Israel as “that shi**y little country,” asking, “Why should the world be in danger of World War III because of those people?”

Will Warren eviscerates the logic
Will Warren eviscerates the logic of a bunch of tawdry, shameless Nobel Laureates in his latest offering:
The wretched and poor can’t do wrong-don’t you see?-
The successful can do no right;
The downcast are blameless, new Sophists agree:
All is justified by their plight.
Set off nail bombs in pizzerias? That’s fine:
The losers can never do wrong.
Blow up a Passover Seder? It’s benign:
How else can the weak fight the strong?
