Postcard Campaigns
Postcards4va – Alexandria (this is their Facebook link — for non Face-bookers, email [email protected]).
This branch has additional resources to simplify the job — they provide the postcards and the addressing labor; all you have to do is write an encouraging GOTV message (and throw in some cash for the stamps). The group is meeting NOW daily at various delicious eating establishments throughout Alexandria, VA so one can be with the group or just pick up and drop off postcards.
Focus is on protecting the VA Democratic Majority in the House and Democratic ownership of VA state government as well as flipping VA districts, but there are special efforts to support and flip other states, including Michigan.
MazeDancer’s Postcards for Patriots (recommended, but no link yet)
Reclaim Our Vote a national civil rights group that contacts voters purged from voter rolls and tries to get them re-registered.
Sister District which focuses on state level races (esp. important in a census year)
ACLU Postcards (recommended, but no link yet)
Americans of Conscience (recommended, but no link yet)
Volunteer Opportunities Suggested by “Take Action” Jackals

Food Ideas for Volunteers and Campaign Organizers
Pizza is easy. Fruits, vegetables, juice, salads, desserts are all great. If you can cook, and you have the time, real meals are a godsend. (If someone is willing to expand on this, I will create a page and link to it here.)
