Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Dear media: perhaps we ought to let Donald Trump speak for himself!

It’s all just conspiracy shit beamed down from the mothership.

We can show the world that autocracy can be defeated.

A norm that restrains only one side really is not a norm – it is a trap.

The media handbook says “controversial” is the most negative description that can be used for a Republican.

Mediocre white men think RFK Jr’s pathetic midlife crisis is inspirational. The bar is set so low for them, it’s subterranean.

It may be funny to you motherfucker, but it’s not funny to me.

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.”

Weird. Rome has an American Pope and America has a Russian President.

“In the future, this lab will be a museum. do not touch it.”

Speaker Mike Johnson is a vile traitor to the House and the Constitution.

The unpunished coup was a training exercise.

The real work of an opposition party is to hold the people in power accountable.

Trump should be leading, not lying.

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

When someone says they “love freedom”, rest assured they don’t mean yours.

Fear and negativity are contagious, but so is courage!

American history and black history cannot be separated.

I like political parties that aren’t owned by foreign adversaries.

We know you aren’t a Democrat but since you seem confused let me help you.

Let there be snark.

The desire to stay informed is directly at odds with the need to not be constantly enraged.

We will not go quietly into the night; we will not vanish without a fight.

We can’t confuse what’s necessary to win elections with the policies that we want to implement when we do.

I wrote a post, but wordpress ated it.
Suffice to say, this day sucked.

Here’s Miss Hime, enjoying her reprieve from eye surgery. And Mssr Odo, just hanging out. Have at it.

No matter what, Miss Hime is elegant.

I promise Odo is not mad at me.
He’s at his sullen middle aged phase

Both cats seem to be suggesting that they want the Epstein Files released.

Mssr  Odo will play Superman in the next remake.  He already has the laser eyes so they can save a bit on the CGI budget.
