Are you on Camino del Norte? I walked (most) of that route seven years ago. Beautiful. San Sebastian was a highlight. Charming city, great food.

Mr. Rudbek and I are planning a bicycle pilgrimage on the Camino next August; I’m trying to decide what route to take from Ponferrada (Camino Frances or Camino de Invierno).

Thank you! What a great picture to start the day with. I could spend a good amount of time just looking at that calm horse and the scene behind him. (My walks do not look like this.)

I did the Camino del Norte a few years ago, it was very beautiful, especially the first part from Irun to Bilbao (which also had the best food.) I should send in the photos one of these days.

Back in 2018 we rented a place in the French Basque country for a month. San Sebastian was only 40 minutes away from where we stayed and we took visiting friends there a coupe of times. We booked a Pintxos tour and I have to say that it was the best food experience of my life.

The lady who took us around had the shortened name of Marivi. My sister, on the tour with us, went back a couple of years later and asked if Marivi was available, Turned out she was now a local politician but remembered us and agreed to take my sister around again.
