    Am I the only person on the internet who liked it?

    Yes, it’s dumb, silly, and over the top – just like it’s predecessors. But, the script and movie – I thought- was better than the other two sequels. And the complaint that the ending was over-orchestrated and that the bad guys would have come to the same end whether or not Indy was there applies equally well to ‘Raiders’.

    I just don’t the hate this time around.

    From what I’m reading, it seems like a lot of people are finding some of the visual allusions (Tarzan, The Wild One) to be particularly egregious. They’re jokes, people. They provoke the “Oh, come on…” reaction followed by laughter at how silly they are.

    Anyway, no, ‘Skulls’ is not a great film, any more than the other Indy films were. It’s a clever comic book / serialized movie actioner pastiche. That’s all it was meant to be. I get the feeling that some of the disappointment with it is due to people reading a lot more “meaning” into ‘Raiders’ than was actually there or intended.

    Yea…it’s all those Librul Blog’s fault for Hillary’s idiotic campaign. Not to mention that all of Clinton supporters on the nets are modicoms’of decorum when it comes to criticism of Obama. I generally go out of my way to not watch CNN. Those rare times I do tune CNN in I invariably find their talking heads trying to “out idiot” themselves. Why does CNN think I’m stupid? It’s precisely because of this dumbed down, inane, ridicuously narrow minded, and just plain stupid discourse that I turned to the blogs in the first place. I couldn’t take it anymore!!!

    And no I would not let my child neccesarily read the blogs, at least not during this primary season, but only because of some of the language. I am an adult. “Bad” language does not offend me and the last time I checked (and thanks to BuschCo I check fairly often) we still live in a country where freedom of expression is a right. These MSM pundits are beginning to see the writing on the wall. The internet is the great leveler. They aren’t speaking to captive audiences anymore who think their every word is a pearl of wisdom. They are being called out on their crap and they can’t handle it.
