Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty. ~Thomas Jefferson

It is possible to do the right thing without the promise of a cookie.

We can’t confuse what’s necessary to win elections with the policies that we want to implement when we do.

If you’re gonna whine, it’s time to resign!

“When somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook, they’re gonna use it.”

“Alexa, change the president.”

Today’s gop: why go just far enough when too far is right there?

The real work of an opposition party is to hold the people in power accountable.

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires republicans to act in good faith.

Keep the Immigrants and deport the fascists!

If rights aren’t universal, they are privilege, not rights.

Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege.

Museums are not America’s attic for its racist shit.

Disagreements are healthy; personal attacks are not.

My right to basic bodily autonomy is not on the table. that’s the new deal.

You passed on an opportunity to be offended? What are you even doing here?

Just because you believe it, that does not make it true.

It’s easy to sit in safety and prescribe what other people should be doing.

Republicans don’t lie to be believed, they lie to be repeated.

The party of Reagan has become the party of Putin.

They love authoritarianism, but only when they get to be the authoritarians.

Weird. Rome has an American Pope and America has a Russian President.

You don’t get to peddle hatred on saturday and offer condolences on sunday.

Shut up, hissy kitty!

Liked the book so I’ll check in at the very least.

@Maude: I was just thinking that Coveritlive does not have a pie filter. :(

OT: I get the weirdest ads on this site lately.
    Currently:
    Support same sex marriage
    Learn about concealed carry
    ironic t-shirts
    full sized pickup truck ad
    buy gold

I’m looking for a good book for a long plane flight. I’ll add that to my Amazon list & check it out.

    @ranchandsyrup:
It’s too bad that there isn’t an internet form of a slingshot. That would be better than a pie filter.

Have a lot of respect for anyone with the fortitude to finish a novel.

And man is it cold and nasty here. High winds blowing snow and brass ball freezing cold for this country.

@Raven: Came back late to a thread the other night and found the Dog ‘n Suds photo. That was a trip down memory lane. Thanks for that!

@ Cole up top: Next time, advance warning, please, so we don’t have to try to read a book in 2 days :-)

That book has been on my list of books to read, and I keep recommending it to people. Very exciting that he will be here!

Cole, in case you are reading this thread:

Did you ever fix the email address where we were supposed to send ideas for the site re-do? I tried to email the first night and my email was returned with an error.

Not a bad way to cut down on feedback, if that was your goal. :-)
