Good Morning All,

This weekday feature is for Juicers who are are on the road, traveling, or just want to share a little bit of their world via stories and pictures. So many of us rise each morning, eager for something beautiful, inspiring, amazing, subtle, of note, and our community delivers – a view into their world, whether they’re far away or close to home – pictures with a story, with context, with meaning, sometimes just beauty. By concentrating travel updates and tips here, it’s easier for all of us to keep up or find them later.

So please, speak up and share some of your adventures and travel news here, and submit your pictures using our speedy, secure form. You can submit up to 7 pictures at a time, with an overall description and one for each picture.

You can, of course, send an email with pictures if the form gives you trouble, or if you are trying to submit something special, like a zipped archive or a movie. If your pictures are already hosted online, then please email the links with your descriptions.

For each picture, it’s best to provide your commenter screenname, description, where it was taken, and date. It’s tough to keep everyone’s email address and screenname straight, so don’t assume that I remember it “from last time”. More and more, the first photo before the fold will be from a commenter, so making it easy to locate the screenname when I’ve found a compelling photo is crucial.

Hi, I’m buying a historic house in a small old port town. A few weeks ago I mentioned it in an Open Thread comment, and a handful of folks were kind enough to say they’d like to see some pictures. Here’s a couple that give you the feel of the place.

    Living in an old building has its charms. And downsides.

    (The building where I live is more than 100 years old. It was fun going through the old records while researching whether it’s advisable to by a flat there.)

    Good morning from Poco and his chauffeur! Great night in icy Ruidoso, NM. Museum of the Horse when it opens and then probably on to Alamogordo, NM.

    Beautiful pictures. Enjoy your new home! The house I have lived in is a 3 story 1880’s Victorian in a historic district in St. Louis. Been there since 1993 and it is still a work in progress…. rehabbing is fun!

    I love old homes. Down here in Miami, an “old house” is one that was built in the 1950’s.

    I spent Friday and the weekend worrying about my ex. His sister called Thursday night to say he’d had a mini-stroke and was in the hospital in Longmont, Colorado. They did a series of tests; CAT scans, MRI’s, etc. and on Friday the doctor recommended he be transported by ambulance to St. Anthony’s in Denver to clear the 80% blockage in his right carotid and 60% in his left. But when they got him to St. A’s, the ultrasound showed no blockages anywhere. They put him in a cab and sent him home, and the hospital picked up the cab fare.

    Oh, and in all of this we discovered that he had never taken me off his medical power of attorney even though we split up in 1999. We’re both going to make that change.

    @Quinerly: I have not been to Ruidosa in years. My favorite time is when the racing track opens, it is such a lovely one to watch those quarter horse races.
