    I’m getting, not a kitten, but a cat tomorrow!

    Loki has been so sad since his life-long buddy died two months ago, and so lonely. He lost a lot of weight (almost a third of his body weight), but he’s gained most of it back now, and seems to be on the mend. The only thing wrong now is that, when we go to bed, there’s no one to play with. So he walks around the house singing his play song, and no one answers, and no one ambushes him around a corner. Something had to change. I went to the local last chance rescue, and they have a very friendly, very playful one-year-old who really seems to like other cats (I watched him draw out an old guy who is scared of cats and people but warmed up to Artie). We’ve set up an isolation room, and we’re bringing him home tomorrow. I really hope this is the solution to everyone’s problems and hopes, all around.

    @WaterGirl: I never knew a cat could grieve like this. And Loki is 13 going on 2, a real kitten at heart. I really hope  this one year old little guy works his magic. I really think he will.

    The other two are very hard to photograph. Effectively tubes of black. Really really really black.
