Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.

A norm that restrains only one side really is not a norm – it is a trap.

How any woman could possibly vote for this smug smarmy piece of misogynistic crap is beyond understanding.

Stamping your little feets and demanding that they see how important you are? Not working anymore.

Damn right I heard that as a threat.

If you voted for Trump, you don’t get to speak about ethics, morals, or rule of law.

Fear and negativity are contagious, but so is courage!

Jesus, Mary, & Joseph how is that election even close?

Is trump is trying to break black America over his knee? signs point to ‘yes’.

Every decision we make has lots of baggage with it, known or unknown.

WV Senate Race

A guy I actually know from Morgantown and have had drinks with has filed for the Senate race against Byrd:

Announcing his candidacy on the 218th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution, Morgantown businessman George Johnson officially begins his campaign for United States Senate today on the Republican ticket. Johnson, 38, is best-known for his vigorous defense of his family’s riverfront property in Morgantown, West Virginia and works in the family’s land and coal-development business there.

“We keep finding out the hard way that private property rights aren’t quite as sacred to some as they used to be,” said Johnson. “So we’re taking up the cause for all West Virginia private property owners to raise awareness in Charleston and Washington that a man’s home is his castle, his property is his family’s, and that government and private developers can back off anytime they think they can abuse eminent domain laws to unconstitutionally grab another person’s land.”

I wonder how many campaigns will have the recent Kelo decision at the forefront…

Good for him. sounds like he’s got at least one vote.

Let’s hope, once elected, that he gets right to writing legislation to prevent the Eminent Domain threat he’s talking about.

As abhorrent as Kelo is to me personally, I have to conced that the Court upheld Connecticut law, and the remedy is changing the law, not blaming the Courts.

Fortunately it sounds like legislators all over the country are doing just that.

Raising awareness seems to be all the rage these days…

The best thing about any Greg Gutfield post are the immediate shocked reactions in the comments section from the HuffPo regulars who can not stand his heresy.

Difficult to imagine Kelo having much bearing on a national race, considering it’s a Local legislature issue.

Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time a politician campaigned on something that he couldn’t do anything about anyhow.
