Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Republicans: “Abortion is murder but you can take a bus to get one.” Easy peasy.

We will not go back.

The world has changed, and neither one recognizes it.

Do we throw up our hands or do we roll up our sleeves? (hint, door #2)

Insiders who complain to politico: please report to the white house office of shut the fuck up.

Weird. Rome has an American Pope and America has a Russian President.

Is it negotiation when the other party actually wants to shoot the hostage?

All hail the time of the bunny!

Hot air and ill-informed banter

Hey Washington Post, “Democracy Dies in Darkness” was supposed to be a warning, not a mission statement.

The words do not have to be perfect.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

I might just take the rest of the day off and do even more nothing than usual.

Trump’s cabinet: like a magic 8 ball that only gives wrong answers.

And now I have baud making fun of me. this day can’t get worse.

The Giant Orange Man Baby is having a bad day.

Polls are now a reliable indicator of what corporate Republicans want us to think.

Today’s gop: why go just far enough when too far is right there?

Republicans seem to think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before.

Dear media: perhaps we ought to let Donald Trump speak for himself!

People really shouldn’t expect the government to help after they watched the GOP drown it in a bathtub.

That’s my take and I am available for criticism at this time.

“Alexa, change the president.”

The rest of the comments were smacking Boebert like she was a piñata.

It is now duly noted, albeit belatedly, that Jim Henley’s Unqualified Offerings should have been included in my list of re-designed web sites. And, to his credit, he has kept the narrow margins that NRO foolishly walked away from. Bravo!

I did not mean to scare you with the Sgt. Schultz revelation, either, Jim. I assure you that I am not Stephanie DuPont.

Just a thought- It sure was nice that on this anniversary of Watergate, which was a veritable orgy for nostalgic lefty reporters on virtually every news channel, that not once did I have to hear the nasal intonations of the now established liar and former shameless mistress of LBJ, Doris Kearns Goodwin.

It is the little things in life…..

I am not sure why

I am not sure why this surprises or upsets anyone:

Israeli moves to erect security fences and protective walls have enraged Palestinians who call it another form of collective punishment. Analysts say unilateral separation may be unrealistic and harmful to peace efforts.

We have been using fences for years in West Virginia to keep animals out of areas we don’t want them (or conversely, in areas we do want them).

Update: Jay Zilber has it right.
