We have administered over one million COVID-19 vaccine doses in the past 24 hours — that’s the highest number in seven weeks.
If you haven’t yet, please get vaccinated. Let’s keep this momentum going and defeat COVID-19.

The number of people seeking unemployment benefits fell to a pandemic low last week — the fourth drop in as many weeks. It's the latest sign that America’s job market is rebounding as employees boost hiring to meet a surge in consumer demand. https://t.co/h9CYUeeI7u

In GA when you get your driver’s license, you are automatically registered to vote, unless you opt out. Stacy was involved in getting the rest registered. Now we have to get them out to vote. We need to send Warnock back to the Senate.
Balconesfault
But how many of those voter registrations will Georgia manage to purge before the next election without notification so the registration holders wait in line for four hours and then get to the front of the line before they find out?
I’m sure that is the goal of the provision preventing counties from sending out voter registration forms … the county can identify that you have been purged and don’t know it, but they can’t just send you a form unless you request it …

@Mary G: Yes In fact right before your comment, Low Key pointed that out. There were a little over a hundred thousand purged recently and thousands already fixed their registration. Here it is easy to register, but it will be key to get out the vote.
Local elections are coming up and they are non partisan. One of the candidates for council is an anti-masker. ugh Even though her children are graduated, she made a point of going to the Fulton County School Board meeting.

@Steeplejack (phone): I left yesterday’s morning thread because there was stuff to do, but you asked about computer-based Go. I’ve run several apps over the years. Currently I have one called PVGo on my phone – “PV” stands for “practice and verify” which is a mode I like. You can work through situations, go back and forth, see what the AI is suggesting, without necessarily committing to a whole game. But, life being what it is, I don’t spend that much time at it.

Job Report gets even (anecdotally) better: I ran into two fast-food places that have recently shut down to insufficient staffing and heard my first radio ad for 7-11 and Racetrack cashiers. So, not only are more Americans finding work, they are finding better work than McJobs.
I’d say that the CREW legal win was good news if I thought that he had any inclination to follow the law. Maybe this will be excuse to fire DeJoy but if the USPS Board had those votes, he’d be out by now.

Recent discussions of Republican idiocy here have focused on the danger of being primaried from the right. From a recent VICE article:
They won’t stop until they are stopped.
Geminid
@WereBear: Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine will also face real challenges in their primaries next year. Kemp could be in trouble, especially if former Senator David Perdue runs. It is said that trump still considers Kemp a traitor for not helping subvert last year’s Georgia Presidential election result, and would endorse Perdue.
I think Abbott and DeWine will win their primaries, but some of the radicals in their party hate the “RINO” establishment as much or more than they do Democrats, and could sit the general election out. Republican candidates in Texas and Ohio can’t afford to lose many voters from either end of their coalition.
Republican disaffection may have turned the Georgia Senate runoffs. Historically, Republicans have a turnout advantage in Georgia runoffs, and consistently win them. This time, though, the Republican vote dropped by 200,000 from November to January, while Democtatic turnout dropped by only 100,000, and this made the difference.
