Oh those crazy democrats… When Clinton was president military service wasn’t the least bit important. Now for some reason it is. As someone who spent a year in Viet Nam I’m getting tired of people like Harkin and Jim McDermott. You remember Jim, the congressman who when visiting Baghdad brought up his service in Nam. He also talked about his service on several other occasions. Unfortunately for Jim someone did some digging and discovered that the closest Jim got to Viet Nam was California. What’s the deal with politicians who feel the need to pad their bio’s by claiming they served in Viet Nam?
