Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Incompetence, fear, or corruption? why not all three?

Russian mouthpiece, go fuck yourself.

My right to basic bodily autonomy is not on the table. that’s the new deal.

Polls are now a reliable indicator of what corporate Republicans want us to think.

After dobbs, women are no longer free.

Today in our ongoing national embarrassment…

There are consequences to being an arrogant, sullen prick.

Reality always gets a vote in the end.

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

The media handbook says “controversial” is the most negative description that can be used for a Republican.

When I was faster i was always behind.

Balloon Juice, where there is always someone who will say you’re doing it wrong.

If a good thing happens for a bad reason, it’s still a good thing.

If you still can’t see these things even now, maybe politics isn’t your forte and you should stop writing about it.

American history and black history cannot be separated.

Republicans seem to think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before.

It may be funny to you motherfucker, but it’s not funny to me.

The poor and middle-class pay taxes, the rich pay accountants, the wealthy pay politicians.

Conservatism: there are people the law protects but does not bind and others who the law binds but does not protect.

Humiliatingly small and eclipsed by the derision of millions.

The real work of an opposition party is to hold the people in power accountable.

White supremacy is terrorism.

That’s my take and I am available for criticism at this time.

Debates

I am not going to watch the debates because the WVU Mountaineers take on the U. Conn Huskies at 7:30pm, and, well, a man has to have his priorities right.

The other day someone asked me if there was anything that would get me to vote for Kerry, and I responded with “A partial lobotomy.”

There is no point for me to listen to Kerry moan, whine, and lie or to listen to lopsided attacks from Schieffer about the actual state of economic affairs over the past four years. Plus, I hate domestic affairs debates. If campaigns were allowed to be blunt, the entire economic message From Bush/Cheney:

“We inherited a recession. We have fought two wars. Despite all that, the economy is rolling along at a pretty nice clip with low inflation, low unemployment, and low interest rates. The Democrats are damned liars.”

Glad I read this post. Football = good. Listening to Bob Schiffer = bad.

Just making shit up as we go along, like REAL “NEWS”men do…

The Word for the Day is: “PRESS-idential Selection”. “The other day someone asked me if there was anything that would get me to vote for Kerry, and I responded with ‘A partial lobotomy.'” – John Cole It’d have to be…
