Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

“What are Republicans afraid of?” Everything.

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

I am pretty sure these ‘journalists’ were not always such a bootlicking sycophants.

Whatever happens next week, the fight doesn’t end.

Insiders who complain to politico: please report to the white house office of shut the fuck up.

The current Supreme Court is a dangerous, rogue court.

Also, are you sure you want people to rate your comments?

Many life forms that would benefit from greater intelligence, sadly, do not have it.

There is no compromise when it comes to body autonomy. You either have it or you do not.

Every reporter and pundit should have to declare if they ever vacationed with a billionaire.

Our messy unity will be our strength.

There are consequences to being an arrogant, sullen prick.

Republicans don’t lie to be believed, they lie to be repeated.

We need to vote them all out and restore sane Democratic government.

It’s easy to sit in safety and prescribe what other people should be doing.

Incompetence, fear, or corruption? why not all three?

Live so that if you miss a day of work people aren’t hoping you’re dead.

If you can’t control your emotions, someone else will.

Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege.

To get mad at Michael Moore is to acknowledge his existence, something I desperately try to avoid.

I’d say not more than 5 minutes of my life has involved seeing or listening to Michael Moore. Never seen a movie, avoid all his interviews if I can.

You guys are a hoot. “Roger and Me” is great, great comedy. The sight of the addled Charlton Heston making some confused social commentary, the public joke who led the NRA, a great moment in film. Moore’s chase of Newt Gingrich and exposure of his congressional district’s record-setting sea of pork, a great moment in political theater. His use of off-the-shelf footage of GHW Bush fawning over the Saudi Royal Family, just priceless. If the only thing Moore ever did was expose the butt-buddy relationship between the Bushes and the Saudis, he’d get my Lifetime Achievement Award for that alone.

I heard him speak once, and had to get up and leave early. I think he’s kind of a buffoon… But I don’t hate him.

That does seem to be the main difference between Moore and his critics. Moore seems to say a lot of nasty things about many people. But he doesn’t exhibit the raw unfettered hatred of Republican representatives like NRO, Coulter, Limbaugh, etc.

    Don’t be a hater.

Michael Moore’s own words? Take ’em or leave ’em. It’s what he gets other people to say (or how he makes them squirm in stuttering non-silence) that makes his films enjoyable. I wax gleeful watching him outsmart people. No amount of base vitriol can compare to watching someone insult themselves.

When he’s firing on all cylinders, Moore’s great. (The example which springs to mind is the bit from his TV show where the cheerful partying inhabitants of the “sodomymobile” systematically visit all the U.S. states where gay sex is still illegal..) But his “harrass the low-level gatekeeping peon” schtick gets old real fast.

I don’t see any “hate” or “serious dislike” on the Corner link given. Just because they would like to see ‘March of the Penguins’ dislodge ‘Bowling for columbine’ as a top grossing documentary? WhoopteeDoo. Boy that’s some serious ‘hate’ let me tell you

But he doesn’t exhibit the raw unfettered hatred of Republican representatives like NRO, Coulter, Limbaugh, etc

    No?

No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It’s not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C’mon, they’re black! I mean, it’s not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days?

    No?

No, Darrell. If Moore made a thousand movies, he could never catch up to the relentless tide of bile and hatred poured forth by the likes of Limbaugh and Coulter.

You’re just ridiculous tonight, Darrell. Don’t you have a game to watch?
