This is not cool:

Ice-T is to produce David Hasselhoff’s first hip-hop album.

The pair are neighbours in Los Angeles and are said to have struck up a close friendship.

Hasselhoff has had some success as a singer, releasing seven albums. He’s also said to be very popular in Germany.

Ice-T, who was one of the first real hip-hop stars in the late 1980s, said: “The man is a legend. And we are going to show a whole new side of him.”

Easy-E is rolling in his grave.

FYI – Tonight they are showing last year’s season finale of CSI. It is two hours. Also, Lost is debuting and Martha Stewart’s apprentice. PBS is on their own, but I do enjoy the flu updates. TV update, over.

Ice T has some taste issues.

John, you’ve got to stop believing those Onion headlines.

I’m assuming that’s where the link led, right?

It’s a misquote/hoax. Ice-T said he could make any one a rap star including David Hasselhoff.

Less than one minute on google.

Also, what does Easy-E have to do with Ice-T, whitey? I think you’re confusing T with Cube, cracker.

They’re both West Coast rappers from the late ’80’s and early ’90’s. Close enough, although NWA is one of the greatest rap groups ever, and I’ve never been a fan of Ice-T’s music.

and I’ve never been a fan of Ice-T’s music.

He toured with LaLA Paloosa long ago with a full band. That was probably the best I’ve seen of him.

I’ve never been a fan of Ice-T’s music.

Oh, man. His first three albums (Rhyme Pays, Power, and The Iceberg) are all fantastic examples of L.A. gangsta rap at its finest. Plus, Ice had a knack for surrounding himself with really talented DJs and producers like Afrika Islam, Evil-E, Mixmaster Quick, and DJ Aladdin (one of the greatest DJs of all time). He laid a lot of the foundation that Eazy-E/NWA would expand on.

I like him alright, I guess. Just not as much as NWA, and then Dre’s solo stuff afterwards.

Who exactly is saying this? It’s nothing but slander.

SeeThroughIt has got it right. From ‘Colors’ through OG the guy cronicled LA gang life like no other. His Body Count stuff was pretty cool, but I like his 90’s hip hop.

goonie bird – I still think Dan Quayle should apologize for the Murphy Brown incident.

Although it did make great comedy!

I think the LAPD should apologize for acting in ways that inspire rappers to make songs such as “Cop Killer” and “Fuck the Police”.

Yeah, even if it was true, it wouldn’t be so-bad-it’s-good, like Shatner’s attempt at rapping.

    It would just be…bad.

He did apologize, as he should have. It is a strange sort of irony that has almost ALL his acting jobs being the role of a cop.

He was definately one of the originaters.

The LAPD probably deserve that, but so does the city council for keeping them so amazingly undermanned. Compare the number of cops on the street in NYC or Chicago with those in LA.

DAN QUAYLE was right about MURPHY BROWN so why should he appologise?
