Point of info: Some of the “death” masks in the Oh Death video are actually life masks (Beethoven’s, for example — his death mask looks markedly different), which were often made in the 18th and early 19th centuries, until photography pretty much did away with the custom.
Also, Voltaire’s death mask looks suspiciously like a character from Outer Limits.
