Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Roe is not about choice. It is about freedom.

Give the craziest people you know everything they want and hope they don’t ask for more? Great plan.

DeSantis transforming Florida into 1930s Germany with gators and theme parks.

The National Guard is not Batman.

The media handbook says “controversial” is the most negative description that can be used for a Republican.

The words do not have to be perfect.

Jack Smith: “Why did you start campaigning in the middle of my investigation?!”

One way or another, he’s a liar.

Just because you believe it, that does not make it true.

Giving up is unforgivable.

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

Their boy Ron is an empty plastic cup that will never know pudding.

Washington Post Catch and Kill, not noticeably better than the Enquirer’s.

Michigan is a great lesson for Dems everywhere: when you have power…use it!

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Baby steps, because the Republican Party is full of angry babies.

Jesus watching the most hateful people claiming to be his followers

“But what about the lurkers?”

So very ready.

Black Jesus loves a paper trail.

The low info voters probably won’t even notice or remember by their next lap around the goldfish bowl.

The willow is too close to the house.

People are weird.

Disappointing to see gov. newsom with his finger to the wind.

Interested in a Zoom Book Club to Discuss Tom Levenson’s Book 'So Very Small'?

So last night was the first of two zooms with Tom Levenson about his book So Very Small.

This post is one part big thanks to Tom for his generosity in doing this for us, one part asking for input about last night’s zoom, one part sharing of video from the zoom, one part invitation to join us next week even if you aren’t already signed up, and one part talking about the format for next week.  We want your input!

The second and final zoom for this book is this coming Wednesday.  (8 pm Eastern on April 15)

(oh, and do your taxes if you haven’t already! :-) we’d hate to have you skip the second zoom because you put them off too long!)

I thought the zoom last night was great, and Tom had fun.   But we’d love to hear from the folks who attended, because what you think is more important than what we think. :-)

(virtual pause for feedback in the comments)

Now that folks last night had a chance to ask their questions or remark on their observations as they read the book, we thought we’d shake things up for the second zoom – and make it more of a discussion or a conversation.

  • Questions you would like to have discussed?
  • Ideas or concepts related to the book that you’d like to talk about as a group?
  • A thought you had – provoked by your reading or by the topic in general – that you’d like to open up for discussion?

(virtual pause for ideas in the comments for the conversation next week)

If you want to join the conversation next week and haven’t RSVP’d yet, please send email to WaterGirl.

(virtual pause while you RSVP)

And finally, video from our zoom last night!

Re-upping this announcement from Wednesday.

Interested in a Zoom Book Club to Discuss Tom Levenson’s Book 'So Very Small'?

Hey everybody,

Anybody interested in having a Zoom book club to talk about Tom’s book, So Very Small?

Tom is super flexible, so we can talk about arguments in book and the relevance of the book today and /or we can use the book as a jumping off point for discussion.

It’s looking like we will start in 3-4 weeks, zooming the first two weeks of April, to give you guys time to read the book if you’re interested.

If you’re interested in reading / discussing this book, let us know in the comments!

⭐️  ⭐️  ⭐️

SAVE THE DATES
