I can not believe it has been a week since I wrote my last post, and things have been nuttier than ever here. Since I last wrote, my best friend has had an emergency appendectomy (thank goodness he is a nurse and went to the ER in time), my good friend had an uncle go into the hospital with a massive heart attack, and I was in a car wreck in which the car was a total wreck. I got out with a sore back and a sore neck. At any rate, my string of good luck continues, but I am not giving up. It is summer, so I was away my blues with frozen drinks, good music, and salsa. Corona works well too, as well as copious amounts of Don Eduardo tequila.

Thank everyone for all the kind emails. I am still waiting for internet access (and cable tv, and a parking place, and trying to find a washer and dryer that will fit in the miniscule space I have allotted for the machine, etc.). I have a consulting gig on Friday, so I have much going on right now, but I expect to be back in the saddle on Monday.
Thanks again for the nice letters.

I am not dead.
I just want to get that clear. I have not been posting for a month, and it has been one of the wildest, weirdest, and worst months of my life. I have moved, made some other major changes, found a job, and my sister got arrested for possession of heroin when no one in the family knew she was even using. I am not kidding about the last part, and boy is a junkie sister in jail a real test of true family values. It looks like we might be able to get her back into rehab (back??- I will explain all later), and I should have internet access by this week-end. Other than that, for those of you who have never read me before, I have a chip on my shoulder and should be back to normal soon. For those of you who are used to me- expect more of the same and a site re-design soon. I swear.

The students are slowly leaving, and I am thrilled. One more exam to give tomorrow, grades due Monday, and then expect to see a boatload more out of me- including a site-redesign.

I am not sure if any of you have seen it yet, but the new morning crew after Imus on MSNBC is just awful. I think it is Alex Witt and Rick Sanchez, and they are just hideous. Nothing like letting your personal opinions getting in the way of the news.
