YES!!! I’m a long-term Pittsburgher (30 yrs) now transplanted to So. Calif.
Been a loyal Steelers fan since the glorious 70’s. I really thought this year was a rebuilding year, giving Ben a chance to learn the game.
The Steelers probably don’t have enough to get them to the playoffs, although the division seems oddly weak at the moment, but it’s great to see the future of the franchise getting a solid start!!

I prefer to remember last year’s game at Heinz-Kerry Field. Feh.

Alas, I really hoped my Raiders would draft Roethlisberger. Collins isn’t working out nearly so well.

And the horse you rode in on, John. See you on the lake.

I was glad to see Duce get in the endzone yesterday.
I know winning is more important than stats, and that a lot of teams have “short yardage specialists”, but it had to be at least a little frustrating for Duce that there have been a lot of drives this year where he carried the load getting them down to the redzone, but then when they got inside the five yd line, they put Bettis in and he would score.
One note: I say the above simply as an Eagles fan who always like Duce and still wanna see him do well, not as a fantasy geek who has Duce on my team.

He has looked impressive so far, very poised for a rookie.
The next 3 games will really tell us if he is beyond his rookie status(Dallas, NE, Philly)….I already think he is.
I also get a kick out of just watching Ben squat behind center….he’s a big guy and that makes him look even bigger.
