Genious! My blog had some pretty cool top hits as well. My favorite was “are hobbits gay?”.

John Cole is objectively pro-baby-eating.

I had nothing to do with it. I didn’t have the creativity.

Actually, John, yes, it is something you should be proud of. The rest of us, not so much, perhaps (although I confess to having been proud of “No Child Left”.) Anyone who actually chased that link would see that the participants, right and left, all agreed that the meme was utterly ridiculous, and, instead of wasting effort blasting it, spent the effort constructively by making a joke of it.

One rather shoddy tactic of the right is to single out a particularly ridiculous example of something being said about their beloved, howl endlessly about this treasured example being synonymous with the activities of all of those examining or daring to discuss Bush’s rank incompetence in whatever the current outrage might be (snoozing through 9-11, The War for the Phantom WMD, Katrina vs. Vacation Fun @ the play ranch), all in hopes of redirecting the debate away from its logical focus.
But is this tactic working any more? Have Bush’s handlers gone to this polluted well once too often?

I think we were making fun of Bush and the administration not the meme.

I thought it was hilarious, particularly if read in light of the send up of Jonathan Swift satirizing Ann Coulter over on Kos. The line about David Broder was priceless. If anyone took that as a serious meme, Liberal or overwise, the joke’s on them.

Perhaps the one thing we can all agree upon is that the President should not be left holding the baby.

Man. Do you remember back in the day, when Googling for “Waffles” got you the John Kerry website? I love the internet.

It’s a joke from a David Cross album. But go ahead and get all riled up.

Agreed.

If you google President Bush Ate a Baby you get 2.35 million hits. If you google “President Bush Ate a Baby” you get three hits, two from this site and one from Kos.

Google is a tool of the loony left. Michael Moore uses it to research his movies.

I didn’t know Bush ate Babies?
I saw it on the Internet, therefore it must be true! Just like that Vince Foster guy didn’t commit suicide because the kooky Republicans said so on the internet.

Congrats, Mr. Cole.
Still think this one is funnier. Probably the only place you’ll find GWB and Michael Moore right next to each other.
