For some reason Carolina keeps coming in on the attack and sending these sailing shots on goal-ish from almost center ice. It’s like their coach told them that momentum is bad.
Things are really going your way when you score an ENG on a faceoff. I’ve never seen that.

Good karma going with my Pens. Damn, they really have the ‘Canes number, I think. Wonder if they got another 7000 to watch on Mario’s screen. That’s some crazy numbers to come and watch a giant teevee and do it with no alcohol, especially in this town.
They sell it inside during games, but the Mario screen outside where they show all the games is alcohol-free and meant to be family friendly. The outside crowd Thursday was essentially half of the number inside and overflowed the area set aside outside the arena that they had to shut down the street and divert traffic. I’m curious if this is just a ‘Burgh thing or if other cities’ ownership puts up a huge screen outside their venues and encourage the public to come and watch where they can feel some of the atmosphere that’s going on inside. I think it’s a pretty cool thing.

I’m thinkin’ the Canes aren’t going to stop Evgeni Malkin anytime soon.

Malkin’s dying quail pass between his own legs was one of the most beautiful plays I have ever seen.

@ Tim F
Geno M. has gotten into their heads oh yes he has.
If you just want to watch people skate, buy a ticket and go to the Ice Capades. Doing it while you’re playing defense in the NHL gets ya toasted.
