    I switched to the Bills/Colts game because I’m sick of watching my Giants lay down.

    On a side note, I’ve been playing Forza Motorsport 3 for the Xbox 360 and it is great. Having the Microsoft “Wireless” force feedback racing wheel makes the experience much better.

    Also, Assassin’s Creed II is my Game of the Year. They kept everything good from the first game and got improved all the “meh” aspects.

    2010 games I’m looking forward to: Mass Effect 2
    Red Dead Redemption
    Alpha Protocol
    And anything decent for the Wii since I got one for Christmas.

    @Corner Stone: Yeah, one of my buddies got Mario Kart Wii for Christmas and it is very good.

    The games I got for the Wii are Wii Sports Resort, The New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess. Zelda is pretty good, although I’m used to my RPG’s having voice acting and the fact that conversations are all text was a little off-putting at first, but I got used to it since it is a good game. Which is kinda ironic because I usually turn on subtitles in modern games because I don’t like missing plot points.

    Also, my lovely wife usually hates video games, but she loves them now that we have a Wii. Super Mario Bros. Wii is like crack. Which is both a blessing and a curse. Blessing because it is nice having her share in something I enjoy; curse because she hogs the 50″ Samsung DLP I got in the Yankees-Themed man cave.

    Also, if anyone is in to the Guitar Hero/Rock Band-type music games The Beatles: Rock Band is great. The Abbey Road sequences are super trippy.

    @Clutch414: We have Resort too and it’s very good. The Wii is really my go to for my 5 yr old, as it is so good for kid oriented items.
    I’m an old school NES Zelda fan so I’ll prolly end up getting it too.
    I’m saving the blood n guts games for the PS3 I’m going to buy soon. I have a PS2 which has been good to me but now that PS3 streams Netflix it’s worth picking up the new system.

    @freelancer (itouch): I heard that also freelancer. I didn’t mind the combat in the first Mass Effect. The radial menus worked ok for skill use/selection.

    As far as AC II, for some reason it hit all the right notes with me. I loved taking on the role of an Italian Renaissance-era Batman. I played AC I though the first DNA sequence and then never really picked it back up. Plus the main character in AC II, Ezio, was a much better developed character than Altair was in AC I. I actually cared about what happened to him and his family. Add to that all the Dan Brown-esque Templar conspiracy stuff (the “truth” videos) and the sci-fi genetic memory stuff and it hit all the right chords with me.

    @Zam: The Beatles: Rock Band certainly is an excellent game and should be the standard for how they make one-band fake-plastic guitar games. It basically is a history of the Beatles.

    Personally, the only game that would top it would be a Led Zeppelin: Rock Band game. But I think I heard somewhere that Page and Plant were against the idea. But I can still hope.

    @Corner Stone: Yeah, the Xbox 360 does Netflix streaming also. I would get a PS3 for games like Uncharted, but I think my wife would shit a kitten considering I already have 2 systems (Wii and 360) and the full compliment of Rock Band “instruments” and the wheel for the 360.

    Not having kids does have its perks. :D

    Has anyone played the Avatar game? I though about trying it out since I enjoyed the movie so much. Saw it a week ago in RealD 3D and loved it. One of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had at the theaters in a while. I’m a little sketchy about the game, due to the fact that most movie-based games are usually a big pile of suck.

    I hope I’m wrong, but I think the Colts are setting themselves up for another of their ‘one and out’ playoff appearances with Caldwell’s giveaway of the last regular season games.

    Dungy did the same thing and in the playoff game the team had more rust than a clapped out ’67 Volkswagen.

    It’s very exciting that they finally have a winning season! They’ve done really well the last couple of weeks. I’m glad for them that it’s come together – just wish it had happened earlier and they had earned a place in the playoffs rather than being dependent on other teams losing in the last week.
