Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

They are not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

Roe is not about choice. It is about freedom.

The arc of the moral universe does not bend itself. it is up to us to bend it.

Petty moves from a petty man.

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

Pessimism assures that nothing of any importance will change.

The most dangerous place for a black man in America is in a white man’s imagination.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

Hey Washington Post, “Democracy Dies in Darkness” was supposed to be a warning, not a mission statement.

Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege.

“The defense has a certain level of trust in defendant that the government does not.”

“Facilitate” is an active verb, not a weasel word.

“Just close your eyes and kiss the girl and go where the tilt-a-whirl takes you.” ~OzarkHillbilly

You can’t attract Republican voters. You can only out organize them.

We know you aren’t a Democrat but since you seem confused let me help you.

Trump’s cabinet: like a magic 8 ball that only gives wrong answers.

The next time the wall street journal editorial board speaks the truth will be the first.

Live so that if you miss a day of work people aren’t hoping you’re dead.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

Whoever he was, that guy was nuts.

Come on, media. you have one job. start doing it.

“But what about the lurkers?”

But frankly mr. cole, I’ll be happier when you get back to telling us to go fuck ourselves.

We will not go quietly into the night; we will not vanish without a fight.

Argentina was practicing at Harvard on Thursday. Saw the huge crowds on the sidewalk & wondered WTF. Then I saw the Argentina and Madrid jerseys and guessed what was up. They had put up screens on the fencing, but there were people peering in at every gap and others holding their camera phones up over the fence. Also a really pissed off looking guy with a camera which had an enormously huge ass lens on it.

    Anyway, my Copa story.

    I’m with Deadspin too.

Here’s the story behind Bradley’s rainbow armband and the scramble to get it ready for kickoff.

And if you need me I’ll be on the front stoop getting the afternoon sun like a salamander on a rock.

Wow. Arguably the worst taken penalty I have seen in my lifetime.

Someone needs to learn how to do a Panenka.

Venezuela really woke up after going down 0-2. That penalty’s gotta hurt, though.

    @Onkel Fritze:

They need to step it up. If not for that blown PK and what was in effect an own goal by Venezuela, the score would be 1-1.

@Steeplejack (phone): ‘Would be’. There was also that foul on Messi which should have been a penalty.

Usually in football I don’t end up telling the TV producer (like they can hear me) “Stop with the reaction shots to the goal! Another goal might happen right now!”

By the time Eric Wynalda gets done with his condemnation, conviction, and sentencing to a lifetime of ignominy and deserved ridicule poor Sejas will be carried off the field in irons for his penalty miss.
