    Fun postmortem fact:
    If Poland had won 2-0 the group would have been decided by the fairplay ranking (which would have seen Germany win the group).

    Ukraine manages to go 0-for-tournament. Zero goals, zero points. Ukrainian fans are *not* happy, and are expecting defenestrations at best.

    Stay classy, Croatia:

    Croatia’s Interior Ministry has warned that some radical fans may be planning disruptions during Tuesday’s European Championship game against Spain, with the aim to get the match suspended.

    In a statement on its website, the ministry announced that it had intelligence that hooligans inside the Stade de Bordeaux could light flares and firecrackers, invade the pitch and display radical political symbols.

    The Croatian police union also warned that fans may also attempt to attack the referee after the 30th minute, according to multiple reports.

    The second in this group will have a much harder game in the next round than the winner and will meet Italy.

    Turkey still needs two goals to make it past Albania in the ranking of the 3rd place qualifiers.

    @SRW1: Croatia should go all out. There’s nothing much for them to lose (unless the Czechs score two), and winning would see them in the top half of the draw with Germany, Italy, France, Spain, and England all in the bottom half.

    EDIT: Make that 3 needed for the Czechs now.

    It’s going to be a pretty unpredictable tournament with all the big teams in one half. Germany-France could be one semi-final and Belgium-Poland the other. Or about 20 other combinations.

    Now I’m Hungary for some Turkey. If I could only find my Czech book. It Spain full to watch some of these games….such low scoring. Ukraine your neck at the TV, you may see a player within 10 meters of the goal, but otherwise, less scoring than a frat party on the BYU campus.
