    I kept getting hung up on Adam’s post. It started to download, got stuck, and nothing else on the page worked. I was able to google the topics page and was able to pull up Betty’s afternoon post and the late night open thread without a problem.  However, when I tried the war on Ukraine topic, it got stuck again on Adam’s post.

     

    I am on an iPad using safari, but I did try duck duck go and had the same problem.

    So after I posted above, I went back to the main page and it locked up again.     I turned off my iPad got back in, but will now see if it happens again.

    @emrys: At some point in there I made it so Adam’s post was on the front page, and now it’s off again.  Depending on your browser, that post may also still be in cache.

    So try reloading the Bj front page again – it should be fine now.

    Locks up with my iPad. Works without problems on Chrome or Firefox on my Windows 11 desktop. Might be something to do with iOS Safari (which Apple insists must be the base engine of any iOS browser).

    It’s the middle of the night and I have temporarily set BJ to show only the top 3 posts.  For now, that’s the new Open thread, Test 7, and Anne Laurie’s late night post.

    So at least we’re functional again.

    Once the situation is resolved I’ll up that setting to show the usual top 7 posts.

    Still having problems, on iPhone 12 (IOS 15.5). Everything below Late Night Open Thread is Next Page. Adam’s post and the GOP Bullying post before it both load a few lines then hang. On Adam’s page, I can get a few more lines by repeatedly loading it, but not getting the whole thing.

    I suggest not using the front page for the time being. I hardly ever use it, and I am not experiencing any problems now. I use the “previous” and “next” functions to open posts in separate tabs.

    It’s 6:30 am here in beautiful Bloomington, Indiana.

    And the eagle flies at dawn.

    Had to put out an additional ground level water scarecrow. Two nights ago the raccoons returned in force, tore up three potted flowers on the deck, and destroyed over a half dozen big green tomatoes.
