Let’s have a golfer’s hand clap for our very own Angry Black Lady, who just joined the team as a consultant at RH Reality Check to advance her #TeamUterati concept and database. Basically, she is going to be working with RH Reality Check to develop a legal and policy resource center which will include an online database of laws and policies on sexual and reproductive health and justice. Essentially, the database at TeamUterati.com/wiki will operate under RHRC’s banner.

    @schrodinger’s cat: I can understand this if you have never had really good bacon. And bacon unfortunately can be made terribly. However pancetta is fucking divine and so useful, and is actually less greasy than the pork belly strips most American bacon consists of. If not just get ham, it can be made to crisp up almost the same way plus it’s much much leaner. And there are lots of great hams in the world. Prosciutto!!

    (geez, I’m not even close to Italian!)

    We shall see; my plans have changed rather significantly over the past weeks. Plans 1.0 had me there almost a full month; 2.0 is having me there on two separate short visits about a month apart.

    Hey Yutsano,

    If’n you read down this far in the thread, my arrival in the NW is fixed; 11/9. 11/11 is definitely out and 11/10 isn’t much better…

    …and, for that first portion of the travels, I won’t be all that close to Seattle. That is Event #1.

    Event #2 is basically Seattle, but the backend of my trip is kinda fluid right now (which roughly explains how 1.0 became 2.0; being in Seattle almost month is one thing, but being there for almost a month with the back end not firmly set is entirely another).

    If Obama wins, I’ll surely be in a much, MUCH better frame of mind for the first trip. If Obama loses, it might take a month to recover and be presentable ;-)

    @The Dangerman: Well that’s Veteran’s Day weekend, and I may be either in an orgiastic mood or a drunken stupor. But since it’ll be a short week for me I imagine I’ll be doing something about. I’m not leaving the city until the day before Thanksgiving, so no matter what I should be down for whatever. We’ll keep talking.

    Dunno, but I just pict up a half a butchered hog, and because I asked for the fat, I now have ten or so pounds of pork fat in my freezer (along with four hams, fifty pork chops, spare ribs, and twenty pounds of bacon, etc)
