I wanna be that old lady. Usually, best I can manage under similar circumstances is to announce “Your mother must be SO proud!” in my best from-the-diaphram stage voice. Which gives innocent bystanders a chance to scurry away while the miscreant tries to work out if I’ve insulted his momma or not.
And while we’re on the topic of wacky old ladies, but on the toxic side of the ledger…

So, Trump continues to rise in the polls, now in Iowa:
Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump leads in a new CNN poll of Iowa Republican voters released Wednesday, overcoming a week that included a contentious debate performance, a feud with Fox News and host Megyn Kelly, and a canceled appearance at the conservative RedState Gathering after organizers barred him from speaking.
http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/trump-dominates-carson-gets-boost-poll-iowa-republicans-n408791
Together, non-politicians Trump and Carson score with 36 percent of those polled (43 percent when you include Fiorina), a hefty hunk of those expressing a preference. Meanwhile Jeb! the Chosen One keeps floundering, and they’re about to put Rubio’s picture on milk cartons.
Wait, there’s more…
The sane analysis is that Trump and Carson continue to do well with Republican voters who are fed up with mainstream politicians who mouth the same old horse crap and take their walking instructions from the Koch brothers.
Or Trump is just another Republican who appeals to the angriest white males, and the people who say they prefer Carson are just too cowardly to admit how racist they really are. And yet strangely, GOP power brokers have tried to keep both these two out of the race for the nomination by disinviting them to some party events.
Biden should announce that he is going to run as a Republican just to fuck with them.

They DESPISE mainline Protestants precisely because they are focused on Sermon on the Mount/Beatitudes, The Great Commission, and filthy hippy stuff like that. (Mainline Protestant sects struggle to maintain their numbers. My theory is that it largely has to do with squeezing out the middle class.)
