I didn’t know N. Ireland had navy, lots of it, on their green jerseys. Is this a new thing for them? Seems non-traditional.

Drattage. It’s going to be hard for NI to get ack into this one now. Their priority is to keep this at 1-0 for awhile, sap Poland’s momentum and wait or their chance.

Odd question: Why aren’t the Northern Irish jerseys orange?

@mawado: I am not sure why they wear green, but the irish started as one federation up through 1920, and the two did not compete in the same tournaments and qualifications until 1950. The green therefore may come from the original Irish federation. Also, isn’t Orange the Unionist/Protestant color. so might create some issues there? eta: although so might the green
