Good Morning All,
Sorry, should have run this yesterday.

Today, pictures from valued commenter James E Powell.

I was a little surprised but very pleased at the number of people who stopped to photograph the entrance to the Speaker’s office.
Thank you so much James E Powell, do send us more when you can.
Travel safely everybody, and do share some stories in the comments, even if you’re joining the conversation late.

That is a wonderful sight. Nancy SMASH has been going overseas to try to keep our allies from giving up on America.

@Mary G: It definitely is a wonderful sight.
Pelosi’s swearing in back in January made me feel good for the first time since Obama left office.
Thanks to everyone who flipped districts blue.

Not knowing anything about what Congress’s offices look like, I would have guessed a plain door off a long hallway. I don’t comment much on the On the Road threads but they have definitely made me more knowledgeable.
Anyway, this is the grand doorway Pelosis deserves.

@Ohio Mom:
Yes, very educational. Kansas ISN”T FLAT !!!
Who knew? ;-)
Actually, we did a nice slow drive east bound through CO and Kansas to come home after we totaled our F-350 in NM. Slow because I had a pretty good concussion and was still goofy after a week of recuperation.
But enjoyable, we stopped at several small community museums, one was half settler and Indian antiques and half fossils from a chalk bed in a nearby creek. I would guess there are photos from that drive, but who knows where? as I said concussion… at least my 4th, two in the Navy, one as a kid, one while wife rolled the truck. But you might not remember all your head injuries, actually.
A really good reason to take it easy driving home!

I read somewhere that although she had been in Congress for years, she had never actually been in the Speaker’s office until she became speaker. No one thought she was important enough to invite.
