Gail Collins and her lackeys didn’t like Bush’s press conference. I am shocked.
I wonder if they wrote it before the conference even happened like the folks at the WaPo.

Oh, and while we’re at it, could we all please just dispense with this maudlin, completely inappropriate obsession with some sort of weepy “apology” from Bush for 9/11, since we all know that what you guys really want is an apology from Dubya …

You know you yourself could try actually viewing the conference before forming an opinion.

I didn’t view it, exactly, but I listened to it on NPR. And, poor speaking abilities aside, I think he did a very good job.

I saw a few minutes: before NBC’s David Gregory made an ass of himself in an attempt to embarrass GWB… switching over to the local sports channel, I then watched the Red Wings embarrass themselves in Tennessee. Jeeze.
I wasn’t impressed that much with the GWB news conference: I voted for him the first go-round, I’ll vote for him again considering the option. IMO, too much weight is given to being a great public orator, one at ease with words. If that were always the case, why wasn’t Senator Everett Dirksen ever elected to the presidency?

I read it, Kimmitt.

I don’t see how any human being could read that transcript and not come out deeply ashamed of what that man is doing to our office. He simply did not answer any of the serious questions put in front of him.

And those would be? I didn’t hear one.
