The Disturbing World of Phil Donahue
Currently watching Donahue, as his guest is Tim Russert. I like Russert, and generally think he is as fair as it gets in the mainstream media. At any rate, Donaue’s histrionics are quie amusing (the weird gestures and Jim Carey-like facial contortions). So far, he has asserted that Bush is beholden to the religious right, because his friend “helen Thomas told me.” He is convinced we need a declaration of war in Iraq, because “I talked to Sen. Byrd.”
No wonder the poor man is so misguided. You can tell a lot by the company you keep.
