Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

This must be what justice looks like, not vengeful, just peaceful exuberance.

You cannot love your country only when you win.

Not loving this new fraud based economy.

This really is a full service blog.

Democrat Disarray

If they lose Donna Brazille, the Democrats are screwed:

The Democratic National Committee notified some committee members and lawmakers Wednesday that they were cutting the positions to save money and streamline operations in preparation for next year’s presidential election.

“I’m just outraged,” said Donna Brazile, who served as Al Gore’s campaign manager in the last presidential election and is also the chairwoman of the DNC’s Voting Rights Institute. “They started reading me the names and I said ‘Oh, oh — they’re all black. I went through the roof.”

She is the only top Democrat with a brain- and they are pissing her off. Not smart.

Brazile said the DNC is making the cuts as part of its goal to raise $10 million to $15 million to support the party’s presidential nominee.

Firing minority employees to raise money to elect a white candidate- that ought to go over like a lead ballon with the AA community.

This shouldn’t surprise anyone. The Dems dont care about “minorities”. They are the party of Anti-war, Pro-choice, older Lesbians. A very narrow demographic base but they sure do kowtow to it. Pro-defense young Lesbians can just get out!

Something tells me that they may well lose the services of Brazile, but that the “AA Community” as a whole will respond with: “Thank you, sir. May I have another?”

I’m not surprised by the hypocracy. I’ve been wondering for more than twenty years, how long it would take for blacks to finally figure out that they have been played for suckers by the DNC. And have had their votes taken for granted. I’m anxious to see how the ‘Talking Heads’ will play this story this weekend.

Look- I am not going to argue with you that the DNC andDemocrats have been playing the African American community off as fools and suckers for years, but you are not going to get me to pretend that the Republican party has worked anywhere near hard enough to make themselves an attractive alternative.

Republican policy towards the AA community has ranged from benign neglect to overt hostility for years, and attitudes are not going to change overnight. Another amusing aspect is that what is hurting Democrats with the AA community is their newly found affluence and the emergence of a vibrant suburban black middle class- which feels free to vote however they want.

Republicans have a lot of work to do to establish themselves as a trustworthy alternative to black voters- and many of the black voters who do turn to Republicans might be of the social conservative mold- deep religious convictions, opposition to abortion, etc.

    We shall see.

It’s called ‘Climbing The Economic Ladder’, john. As blacks and hispanics and asians climb the ladder higher, their politics slowly shift toward conservatism. One surprising example would be the recent gubernatorial elections in Maryland. In which a Republican won. In a state with a supposed 3 to 1 ratio of Democrats to Republicans.

Since the DNC has reversed itself, I wonder if they’re now going to fire 10 whites. I don’t think that’s gonna fly, either.

    Democrat Dissembling

Do you know who’s necks are on the Democrats’ chopping block this time around? John Cole does. But I bet not a lot of other people will, since the Dems will rush to hush this story before their voting base gets wind of it….
