Rot in Hell, Idi Amin. I am sure Chomsky, Ramsey Clark, and some gun control enthusiasts are upset, but the rest of the world will look at your cold, lifeless carcass with profound glee. My only regret is that your death was from natural causes, rather than the result of due process. I guess you will have to get yours in the afterlife.

    Wasn’t it generous of “our Saudi allies” to put the guy up in luxury for so long? That’s what “allies” are for, right? And we all know the adherents of which peaceful religion were alone in mourning Amin’s passing …

    Let me inject a bit of a counter-argument. Every soul in hell is a defeat, Even Idi Amin, even Hitler, even Stalin. I don’t react with glee that he’s gone to his just reward but I’m quietly hopeful that both his victims and his survivors are resting a bit easier today. That’s a silver lining but anybody going to hell is a cloud.
