So last night I went through all the television listings, and when it came to Leno, I saw that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was going to make an appearance, and I made a mental note to tune in. I then saw that Kerry was also going to be on, and my reaction was, “Oh.”
That kinda says it all about the Kerry campaign, doesn’t it? And in fairness to Kerry, this was by far the best he had looked to me in a while. All the Democrats look so much better when they are not whining and bitching and moaning about how evil and awful Bush is- when they are relaxed and talking constructively, some of them even seem pleasant.
*** Update ***
I forgot to mention- did you guys know Kerry served in VietNam?
Ralph Higgins
Why didn’t kerry bitch about the EU taxing the crap out of Harley’s?
After all, he’s one of them that demanded tariffs on steel to protect union jobs.

I hadn’t heard about Kerry’s service, but I just found out that John Edwards is the son of a millworker! He really ought to work that into his speeches at some point; it’s so inspiring that a millworker’s son can be a US Senator in this great country of ours.
Ralph Gizzip
I had heard the in the Nielsen overnight ratings of Leno’s show Triumph’s rating was about 8.9 while when Kerry came on it dropped to about 3.2 That pretty much sums up Kerry’s campaign, doesn’t it? And dammit, he was a Vietnam veteran, too!

I don’t know if anyone’s noticed, but Carol Moseley-Braun isn’t just African-American, she’s a woman! You’d think she’d talk about how that gave her a different perspective from the other candidates or something.

What is a “viet nam?”
David Perron
Isn’t Gephardt the son of a union truckdriver? You’d think he could use that to good advantage.

Ooh, good thinking. Now, if only Wesley Clark would start leaning on his unique experience as a four-star general . . .
M. Scott Eiland
“Ooh, good thinking. Now, if only Wesley Clark would start leaning on his unique experience as a four-star general . . .”
He has been–by saying that he believes the military conflict he was in charge of running for the US military was illegal.
No wonder a lot of Democrats are pushing this guy–he’ll fight a war for you, then flog himself for doing it! Heck, maybe he’ll spit on himself too, if it’ll get him votes from the Ted Rall crowd.

And maybe Joe Lieberman can point out that he and Gore almost won the last election!
And maybe Sharpton can discuss his insight into race relations in this country!
And maybe Kucinich can get back on his space alien mothership without being detected as the freakazoid he really is!
