I am sure someone is going to explain to me how this is all just about his policies:
Laurie David [wife of SEINFELD creator Larry David] has sent out invites to the planned Tuesday evening meeting at the Hilton with the bold heading: ‘Hate Bush 12/2 – Event’
“This is the most important meeting you can attend to prevent the advancement of the current extremist right wing agenda. Do not miss this meeting. This will be a high-level briefing to discuss the strategies… to affect what happens next November.”
Political heavies Harold Ickes, Former Deputy White House Chief of Staff and Campaign Manager for the

Uh, other than the catchy name (thanks to you on the Right!), I note that “prevent the advancement of the current extremist right wing agenda” really is about policies and not the man.

One of these days, others will find out, to their dismay, exactly why Deanie-Weenie acquired that nickname during his stint as governor of VT.
HH
Well they said the word “policy” so I’m sure it’s not personal.
HH
“Agenda…” same diff. Nope, no hatred here.

The problem is that the Left typically cannot separate the personal from the political. Indeed, a person is nothing more or less than his politics.
How very shallow.
Norbizness
Oooohhh! That DARN ‘The Left’! It dug up the bushes again! (shaking fist)

I saw that on Hardball. That was rather pathetic & caused me to lose some respect for Dean.
How lowbrow can it be when you’re so filled with hatred that you can’t even say something like “he’s a good family man” or something that some canned line that could be said about virtually anyone? I’m not a huge fan of some of his policies, but I had some respect for Dean — until last night. Jeez, the biggest Clinton hater could drop the “he’s raised a fine daughter” on a dime.
I know that pandering to the hate-Bush base is what he’s trying to do right now, but is that really indicative of the “Democratic wing of the Democratic party”? If so, then there’s no real mystery as to why it’s now a minority party.

You know, this “Hate Bush 12/2” event reminded me about the group hates in the novel 1984. It’s been mumble-mumble years since I read 1984, but I do remember that. Anyone else?

Hell, even I could think of good things to say about Clinton if asked…

Speaking of “Hate Bush,” there’s some crap going around in chat rooms regarding Bush’s arrival time in Baghdad, making him look fearful, etc.
My browsing capabilities have taken a dump for some reason… maybe too much turkey last week, but I can’t find any site that can tell me what time he arrived and departed, preferably Baghdad time.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance.

On the Dean comment: it seemed to me more like he dissembled when asked to say one good thing about the President… If I remember, he said something like “I’m sure I do have something nice to say, I’m just not in that head space right now.”
While not a coup of rhetorical generosity, it’s still a long way from “there’s nothing good about George Bush,” which is how it seems my fellow commenters are characterizing the exchange.

From the transcript on cnn.com:
MATTHEWS: As we used to say in the Catholic church, is there a modicum of social value to George W. Bush?
Is there anything good about this president you could say for the history books that you believe in?
DEAN: I am sure there is, but I’m not in that mode to think that way just at this particular time.

Welcome back, Michael.

Let me know when they put together the ‘Hate Hollywood’ get together. These elitist are a complete joke, but America would be better served if all of us morons would quit acting like sheep and follow THEIR lead. Uh, no thanks.

GEORGE BUSH IS A WAFFLER ALSO.
1)IN 2000 DEBATES, HE SAID NO TO NATION BUILDING, HE CHANGED HES MIND WITH IRAQ.
2)hE HAS CHANGED HIS mIDEAST PEACE POLICY MANY TIMES.
3)HE SAID YES TO DIPLOMACY FOR N KOREA, HE NOW APPEARS TO BE READY TO WAGE WAR.
HE IS A JOKE OF A MAN.
ALL THE RIGHT WING Talk SHOW HOSTS LIKE HIM BECAUSE “HE STANDS FOR SOMETHING , HE HAS VALUES, HE HAS A CORE OF BELIEFS, YEA, HE STANDS FOR SOMETHING ALL RIGHT, HE STANDS FOR THE DEMISE OF THE UsA AND THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR REPUTATION GLOBALLY.
HE STANDS FOR ARROGANCE,STUPIDITY,ETC.
tHIS IS LIKE SAYING I BEliEVE THAT EVERYBODY SHOULD DRIVE AS FAST AS THEY WANT, AREN’T I RIGHT, I STAND FOR SOMETHING, THIS IS MY CORE OR BELIEFS, BUULSHIT. GEORGE w SOUNDS THIS DUMB.
he passes people off on the poor Texas rancher bit-bullshit, nothing farther from truth. He is from a rich elitist New England Family Like John Kerry his, however, at least kerry does’nt pretend to be a poor common rancher, he is what he is.
Go back and read about George w’s grandfather dealing with the Nazi’s and their support of Hitler’s extermination of the jews. Prescot Bush and Sam Bush helped pay for the extermination. Is this the family you want as role models, no thank you!! this family is Like the ewings on Dallas and they are corrupt. this country has Gary ewing as president, the failed son of an oilman who could not do anything right, so Daddy buys him the presidency.
above are reasons why George Bush is
an idiot.
At least clinton grew up poor in Arkansas and fought his way out of the Arkansas poor neighborhoods, give him credit for that, the repulicans a party for pulling yourself out of a bad situation to make your self better should know that but they don’t, and never gave clinton credit, he had to fight his way out. george was born with silver spoon in mouth and inhereited everyhting. yea, Clinton has flaws, but I think there was more character their than what he got credit for.
Again, Bush is a terrible president.
