My beloved Steelers are now 13-1, after defeating the Giants in a close one, 33-30.
The game was much closer than many predicted, but once again a different Steeler stepped up and really saved the day for the Back and Gold- this week it was Antwaan Randle El:
The Steelers, thanks to an early Christmas present from the Dolphins last night, must win one more game to secure both the BYE week and Home Field Advantage throughout the playoffs. This weekend we play the hated Ravens, and it should be a wild one. If we can win this one, I believe that not only do we get the bye and HFA, but we would knock the vile rat-birds out of the playoffs.
At any rate, it should be a good game based solely on the hatred that has built up between the two teams.

The refs also stepped up and gave the Steelers a gift when they called a BS personal foul against Brent Alexander when he and Ben R. both fell to the ground after a sack.
A 4th and super long punt situation, turned into a first down inside Giants territory. The Steelers scored a few plays later.

As a Browns fan (and isn’t that punisment enough this season) I hate the Squealers.
… but I hate the Rat-Birds even more. Squash ’em like a grape!

What Ralph said.

As a Steeler fan and Maryland taxpayer, I have a hard time hating the Ravens in a clean, fun rivalry way. I prefer as much as possible to pretend they don’t exist. Even Raven defeats remind me that the Ravens are. However, a quick Baltimore exit from the season hastens the day my lofty indifference can return, so it’s root, root, root for the home(town) team.
Alas, with the Pat loss, this weekend has letdown game written all over it.
