Falwell was admitted to Lynchburg General in “respiratory arrest.” Family members told Moore that Falwell had been unconscious from five to seven minutes and had to be resuscitated by EMTs at the hospital emergency room.

Moore said there is no evidence of neurological damage.

How can they tell?

    I have never been a big fan of Jerry Falwell. His post 9/11 comments cemented my disagree with his views on Christianity and the United States. I’m sure if and when he passes there will be quite a whirlwind of folks looking to either canonize him or villify him. Personally, I’ll see him as a political and social lobbyist whose influence was greatly exaggerated.

    Uh, Marco? I realize religious white people all look alike, but The 700 Club is Pat Robertson and Falwell has the Old Time Gospel Hour.

    Both are however, equally silly, so that could be from where your confusion stems.

    Yep, that was a cheap shot all right.

    I hope Falwell recovers his health and strength. I have little use for his dubious contributions to political thought and discourse but don’t wish him illness or physical harm.
