Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

My years-long effort to drive family and friends away has really paid off this year.

I see no possible difficulties whatsoever with this fool-proof plan.

You’re just a puppy masquerading as an old coot.

FFS people, this was a good thing. take the win.

American History and Black History can not be separated.

Whoever he was, that guy was nuts.

🎶 Those boots were made for mockin’ 🎵

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

Glad to see john eastman going through some things.

Not so fun when the rabbit gets the gun, is it?

No one could have predicted…

Republicans: The threats are dire, but my tickets are non-refundable!

White supremacy is terrorism.

“Look, it’s not against the rules anywhere, but a black woman with power was dating and there has to be something wrong with that.”

We cannot abandon the truth and remain a free nation.

There is one struggling party in US right now, and it’s not the Democrats.

If West Virginia and San Francisco had a love child.

They traffic in fear. it is their only currency. if we are fearful, they are winning.

Wow, you are pre-disappointed. How surprising.

fuckem (in honor of the late great efgoldman)

So many bastards, so little time.

When do the post office & the dmv weigh in on the wuhan virus?

The words do not have to be perfect.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

Daley’s Naivete

Apparently Mayor Daley is dumber than even I thought:

The mayor did not realize the impact his remarks would have, Heard said. Heard did realize it after she was on a conference call, she said, with Durbin

Aw, heck! Daley’s just a Respected Maverick who has Grown In Office.

    Report it that way, John.

    Cordially…

    John,

McKinney is a bad example. Her district was originally re-drawn in an effort by Georgia’s political establishment to unseat her. That effort failed. It was not gerrymandered immediately prior to her losing her seat, nor was it gerrymandered prior to her regaining her seat.

This is by no means the first time Daley has stabbed the Democrats in the back. Hes crying crocodile tears now, but he’ll do it again just like Holy Joe.

Lay off the man, he’s a White Sox fan, and there is no other legitimate requirement for greatness.

    Nash,

Your Pale Hose have had a pretty bad century, these last 88 years. Damn you, Chick Gandil!!!!

True, Rick. And you know your Sox stuff if you can come up with the 88 years like that!

But it’s crucial to remember that Gandil, like OJ, was found not guilty in that trial. I imagine that, also like OJ, he spent the rest of his life looking for the real Series fixers.

    Yeah, right.

Actually, I’m related to the one of the nine who wasn’t ever accused. He’s in the HOF now. I didn’t choose the Pale Hose, they chose me.

Poor Durbin, does this mean he now regrets his pseudo-apology.

A week of provoked Durbin-bashing on this blog, and now we have to listen to tooth-gnashing over whether Daley is the bad guy in this melodrama? Fuck me.

Every person who either (a) took the time to read Durbin’s entire speech and did not stand up for it, which is what it deserved, or (b) didn’t bother to read the whole speech, is guilty of cutting Durbin off at the knees.

Every single person. If the shoe fits, then wear it for crissakes. God forbid that anyone, anywhere would ever take responsbility for anything any more.

Fun, ah yes. I remember it well.

I think I’ll join John and do something else for a while.

I can have the new granddaughter sleep on my shoulder, that’s good for about a 30 point blood pressure reduction. But I can’t do that all the time. Her parents would object.

I can drive the Stang way too fast along the boulevards of Phoenix and dare the police to write me a speeding ticket. But I can’t do that all the time either.

I can eat green chiles and drink Tecate …..

Ah, that’s it. Gotta go. Hold the chiles. Just bring me the Tecate.
